Spinjas! Not heard of them? http://www.millionaireplayboy.com/toys/spinja.php Used to have many a good fight with them after a few drinks.
A little way back someone mentioned Exo-Squad. I remember that! Only thing was the reason I never got into it was becase I could barely find any toys. Stores would always sell out of them and I only managed to get an original J.T. marsh and that big orange & burgunday spaceship thing with the blue badguy. My brother had the J.T. marsh with the interchangleable spinning accessories and the original Wolf Bronsky. We always wanted the big Exo that came with Shiva. Marsala was always around but we wanted his second Exo. I almost bought the J.T. Marsh Exo that turned into a bike (I should have). I thought it was a great and very innovative line. The only problem was that I couldn't find half the stuff in stores! And don't even get me started about when me and my brother went to toys r us one day to try and find any of the robotech ones. *Ugh.* What drives me even more nuts is when I looked them up on Google and discovered that there were so many more new toys produced after what we had only seen the local stores around us carry(like that guy with the skeleton Exo or that big blue alien dude with the bug wings and the four arms). Between searching every toy selling store in rhode island and southern massachusettes, we could not find any more of the Exo's we were searching for. Bummer.
Actually, aftwe reading that big Hot Wheels description I remember some stuff from that line now, the crashers and colour FX ones. I wish I had more crashers... might have a peep on eBay. Also, from Hot Wheels was Shogun Racers, these were tuner cars that transformed (like Starcom toys) into alternate forms. From what I know only 3 car molds were made in two paint jobs, (Car to plane, Car to Sub, Car to Snowmobile) and a bigger transforming car transport thing. I did a little page on these guys actually, click here if you're interested. http://www.tikgnat.com/toys02.htm I wish they did more of these, I saw these in only one toy shop and fell in love straight away. I remember buying one, taking it home and opening it up, and then the next day straight back for the other 2 molds... I still have them and was thinking about selling the 2 car molds I didn't like as much, but I think I'll keep them as a set.
Baxter Stockman???? Here'sa mine: New MoTU: with elbows, knees, and not so many He-man/Skeletors, it could've lasted like two years longer and been better than DC Superheroes. Plus the great TV show and comic series. TF Classics ALIENS by Kenner. Crazy alien monsters vs army guys with guns and vehicles? Awesome! TF Universe- give me Universe BW Rampage! and Seacons! TRU reissues FF Classics- I just want a Super Skrull, actually. Xevoz- I'm too lazy for Stikfas. TF Alternators, natch
M.A.S.K. all the way! Loved those toys...even though the figures sucked! Inhumanoids also rocked...esp. the large mutants like D. Compose!
Overall for me is Battle Beasts, I would LOVE to see that still around. Additionally: M.A.S.K. He-Man and I am sure I will think of more later.
Yes, I'll also add Dino Riders, He Man, Mask, um there were these one things called pocket pals or something, I remember you had like a skeleton with knives and a shield and it folded onto this pad that would fit into your pocket conveniently enough, not sure what the exact name was. Muscle Men were cool also, Computer Warriors.
http://www.virtualtoychest.com/exosquad/exosquad.html This is actually what I meant. Scroll down to "Neo Lord." My memory was a little fuzzy. He only has 2 arms.
If I could resurect any toy lines I'd go for: Micronauts !!! * Shogun Warriors GoDaiKin GoBots Trendmasters Godzilla Mego Superheroes Rom (sure there was only the 1 figure...but we could have had an army of spaceknights!) In all honesty if these were all going strong I doubt I'd be very into TF's at all * Damn Hasbro...not for any of the normal bashing, but for taking over Marvel Legends...Toy Biz was going to make BUG dammit!!!!! I've wanted a figure of Bug since I was 6!!!!!!! Hasbro will never make Bug, he's too obscure
Bug was one of the main characters in the Micronauts comics, a good fighter and great comic relief He also has a 1-shot issue where he's single handedly responsible for almost every major event in the Marvel Universe
