I mean, really. What the hell?

It's about time we see Wingblade Prime in person, not just a shitty scan from SDCC. It's about time we find out when we'll get Rodimus and Wingblade Prime.

    Or did I miss something?

This is not "News". A mod will probably move this momentarily...

... We'll hear about Animated when Hasbro secures a vendor for those toys.

You didn't miss it. They didn't show any of them.

This makes their future release questionable.

    Animated Rodimus?

I was wondering if Animated Rodimus is still coming out. Any new details on him?

Fortunately, TFA Blackout is getting a Takara release in May. Hopefully the rest of the unreleased TFA stuff will get released in Japan
as well; might be more expensive, but it's better than nothing.

Yes, I'm thinking that as well. Hasbro said they'd be looking at "an outlet" for the toys, and Japan would certainly count as "an outlet" even if it's not the one people are hoping for.

Or perhaps something like what was done with Pepsi Prime a few years back - HTS exclusives, debutting at Botcon or SDCC with the rest of the stock going on the website after the event / a separate run reserved for web orders.

I just think they didn't show them because they're already announced. They wanted to show NEW product, not previously-revealed-but-not-yet-released product.

    Ebay:
Typically, they don't show many retailer exclusives at Toy Fair. If I had to fathom a guess, the rest of the TF:A line will be exclusive to TRU or someone else.

Now if we don't see anything at SDCC... I'd be very concerned.

Because the Crossovers aren't part of the TF line's budget. They call under the Marvel and Star Wars budgets respectively and have zero effect on mainline TF stuff.

Well, there happen to be a few thigns I can figure into my theory. Three reasons: A) HA Barricade got released when his fate was not shown in movie, yet he was killed outside of movie, in the movie story. 2) Obviously they can't go the next size up with Ironhide, so they pick one that in a way makes some kind of sense... I.e not Jolt. And D) It's Jazz, who of which has been and always will be awesome, unlike Animated(sarcasm)

    don't panic!
    ;)

Toy fair is a business event, TRU have already claimed the remaining animated toys hence Hasbro have no need to show them off to other retailers nor the desire to take up precious show space with them.

Toy fair is always about what's new and hot for the retailers to buy, if they can't buy it there's no point showing it.

When Botcon rolls around I have no doubt that Hasbro will spill the beans and show us the remaining figures, assuming they haven't already been released by then of course.

I was going to post somehing, but Fort Max already told it perfectly.

No need to show off store exclusives on a (mainly) business event. These companies can't buy the toys for their stores anyway.

Nope. If Hasbro hadn't opened the proverbial can o'worms and said that crap about looking for an outlet for the remaining toys, then yeah, we could probably consider it dead. But until Hasbro says "Its dead" then thats all we have to go on. Personally speaking, it wouldn't surprise me if Hasbro is lying to save their ass about these toys again, but it still would be disappointing if they didn't distribute them like they keep saying they will.
