This guy would look great alongside Nitro Zeus as an enforcer/muscle type.

Maybe that's the tradeoff for Prime and Bee being so small? They allocate budget from them into other figures in order to make the more desirable figures better whilst also using it as an out to accomplish something resembling scale accuracy.

 

I’m wondering if we could see a new nitro Zeus at some point? I mean, he was the best Decepticon in that film aside from Megatron, and the head and alt. mode are wrong on the original figure. Plus he’s not exactly in scale anymore.

 

He'd probably just be a retool. Not much can be done with the alt mode unless they actually get the license for the one in the film, and while a new head would be great (I just gave mine a silver Shockwave head) the scale's easily "close enough." He was definitely Voyager size in the film, around Opitmus' height, shorter than Megs but bulky.

Been thinking about getting a Leader Class Blackout to give to this year's Christmas Toy Drive. Do you think it matters if it's either a Hasbro or Takara one? Just thinking if the Takara Instructions will be in Japanese.

Where is this stuff sold? It's not on BBTS or am I missing something? Are these all exclusives

 

they are all up for preorder on ages 3 and up, they will be up later on those sites you mentioned. and they will be released in stores April.

 

The toys are street-dated, so the major sites probably won't do pre-orders for the Hasbro versions. The release date will come, and suddenly they'll be ready to order. Any North American site taking pre-orders is doing so on a "speculative" basis (outside of HTS, with the advanced "preview" release of the Wave 1 Deluxes).

This seems to be how most movie releases are handled through online retailers.

 

They're not exclusives. Its just a regular movie line so they'll all be released in stores on the street date, around April 20th

 

These would have been great if Has/Tak had released them back when the movies were just releasing. Tho this line is perfectly acceptable, I'm on to MPM and 3P releases. So while I love the releases, particularly Blackout and his scorponok buddy, I'm gonna wait to see if Wei Jiang upscaled him with some MPM style mods.

 

It'll be interesting to see what happens there. There were far fewer OS KO's from TLK than AOE. But Blackout and Grimlock both scream for it.

I hope somebody upsizes Bumblebee. We've needed this version for so long, but he's just to small to go with much of anything else.

 

2 questions.

Now that Nevermore has confirmed that stryker2 is just a repack of old camaro Bumblebee, what do you guys think is going to happen to the Bumblebee line and what do you guys think about the future of Studio Series deluxes?

 

i think the bee movie line will be mostly gimmick toys and no interesting figures. and that studio series deluxes outside of lockdown and jazz will continue to be "meh" or disappointing. but i at least believe that pretty much all the voyagers and leaders will be awesome.

So studio series has some surprises left and figures crossed for more exclusives and the bumblebee movie line still has little known about it.

 

I think this is THE TIME they SHOULD release DOTM SOUNDWAVE (all new mold).
DOTM Soundwave never reach our shores in here.
The only way getting him back then was in secondary market with aftermarket prices.

 

even though i own HA soundwave myself, i'm all for it, i want people to have a wide release version of dotm soundwave!
