Agreed. I want a new voyager that isn't a $100 e-hobby repaint. Or at the very least, a new deluxe that's closer to the cartoon.

Now to debate over Hasbro Defensor or Maketoys Guardia. I'm betting the Brawl figure will be retooled to make Nosecone. i wonder if other figures will be made for the Combiner Optimus and Cyclonus? We got Alpha Bravo, Rook, and Offroad. I'm Guessing a replacement for Afterburner .

 

Well, my turn.

Defensor: OHGOD! I mean, I expected Blades to be Alpha Bravo, but the redeco is amazing. I did expect First-Aid to be a retool of Offroad, however it took me quite some time to identify it.

Streetwise being Dead End was pretty obvious, but different enough so that my gf couldn't imediatelly notice it. I think that Groove being Legends Class is probably the best way to keep him on the team without blatant scale issues.

I like Rook, and I'd like to slap everyone in the face who ridiculed me for saying he could be a SWAT tank. (Not here in TFW, you all are awesome.) Hotspot Looks fantastic and I can see the potential Onslaught here...

Magnus:: WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT. MAAAN. He seems so much more massive than the other Leaders. I wonder if deluxes will fit on the back of the truck?

And Finally, Devastator: Well... I really convinced myself that I did not need Metroplex when he came out. However, this is very tempting. Even if he comes at R$1000 here (About US$300) I'm really thinking of getting this guy while sacrificing my savings for my new PC in the process...

 

I want Devastator, Armada Megatron and Leader Magnus. As for the rest...Wow...2015 is looking like it's going to be a pretty crap year on Hasbro's end...Cyclonus as a remold of Silverbolt pissed me off the most....He looks absolutely awful, I'll be keeping my deluxe. Thundercracker as a remold of Jetfire looks stupid...The Combiner Wars Combiners look way too poorly engineered for me to want....The only reason I'm getting Devastator is because I need a big devastator to loom over my IDW figures.

Hasbro..I think this is the last year I'll be purchasing things from you...It's been a fun run..But ultimately you've ruined Transformers for me.

 

Suddenly I have the urge to sell off my FP City Commander kit.

If you've ever read my posts, you know i'm fairly easy to please. Not being a Hasbro fanboy, but i gotta say... Not only am i loving all this, some of the stuff is turning me from a maybe on RID15 to a must. especially with all those cool little minicons.

Defensor? Hell yeah.
Devastator? THOSE BOT MODES... i mean... i knew he'd have him. I've said in the other thread, you've gotta have your head in the sand to think he wouldn't. but they are SO G1 it's unreal.
Cyclonus - i am very interested to see how this turns out. It looks great.

Leader Magnus is beautiful and I love the little Minimus figure he comes with. Very, very nice stuff here.

OT: That Magnus is simply glorious and most certainly be bought.

 

Is it bad that I want G2 redecoes for all of the combiners?

 

Devastator is everything you could expect, the individual robots are simple but capture the characters just fine.

The Protectobots are all great, and at least they tried to keep Groove involved as best as possible.

Cyclonus as a Silverbolt retool is clever, and I think it works well.

Ultra Magnus is perfect, everything a CHUG version should be.

 

Now all we need is for them to be actually released in the states.

 

I read this earlier and have been trying to figure it out.

What does that mean? Five-pointed, as in the two upper points on his head, two lower points on the "mask", and his chin makes five (???).

 

I feel torn. that alt mode for cyclonus is by far the best we could have hoped for out of this line

but that robot mode is simply terrible. TERRIBLE.

As for Magnus, I am extremely happy that I can buy this instead of masterpiece.

The minimum ambus is cool too, but if this doesn't get a retool/repaint into either a powermaster prime with ginrai, star convoy with rodimus, or a thunderclash with (surprise, dominus ambus!) then it's a waste

 

Cyclonus is asking for Third party, and Shapeways addons
