    That is one tough little ship. Yes that is right the Space Shuttle Discovery didn't blow up.

    I'd like to think it crashed in the Atlantic too.

    They built that thing to last, man.

    In transformers 4 the combaticons dive down to the wreckage, and sacrifice their smallest member to ressurrect the discovery as Blast Off.

    Starscream's missiles were directed toward the Xanthium itself. Note the booster rocket is still intact as well.

    I wonder if NASA "insisted" to Bay that he not show Disco breaking up like Challenger did (I guess some of you guys are too young to have seen that first-hand, yikes), which is what most likely would have happened at that point in the flight. Or if he made that decision himself, or just wanted to show the shuttle intact. *shrug*

    sounds plausable to me. Kinda like how peter jackson changed the sound effects on saurons tower so it wouldn't reminice the world trade center collapsing
