Am I a bad film fan because I'd rather have Army of Darkness II? I honestly never got the hype about the Evil Dead movies, but Army of Darkness is a frakking classic film to me.
Diablo Cody? Shit.
Evil Dead IV must be made, not this wretched reboot.
I hate everyone and everything. Especially you, Fosterlager, for showing me this horrible news.
Quit reusing old ideas. Come up with something new.
P.S. Stop giving Diablo Cody work.
Sincerely, Overlord Balder.
This is horrible! Why?!?!
I...honestly don't get it. The Evil Dead movies were great because of Bruce Campbell.
The Total Recall thing might be promising, however. I always thought there might be a good movie hiding behind Arnie's campiness.
If you are a bad film fan then so am I. I generally only like the other 2 movies because they are part of army of darkness. Army of darkness is one of my favorite movies and I would love to get a sequel.
Depends on this: Did you see Army of Darkness first? Cause if you did I totally get where your coming from. As Evil Dead is the weakest of the three.
Evil Dead was a student film. It's was basically done by a bunch of college buddies on a budget of a couple 100,000. Of course the others were better.
Sequel not remake, dammit. Bruce Campbell, you've proven you still, and always will kick ass, so grab your boomstick and chainsaw and get back to killing deadites. Man, this is terrible news, because this all but confirms that a true fourth film will never happen. Oh well, I guess I'll still end up watching it, just because I love the Evil Dead series so much...but I certainly don't have high hopes for this.
The low-tech puppetry and make-up really defined the look of the series, and they'll forget all of that in favor of CGI. Plus, no Campbell=no sale.
As for which movie is better, Evil Dead 2 is my personal favorite, but I can't knock anyone for preferring AoD. They're two different genres.
I have to agree with you guys, Army of Darkness 2 would be much preferable in my case, though I wouldn't mind Evil Dead 2 remake/sequel, as that film had a lot of quirky, trippy, black humor that clicked with me just right.
LOL. Evil dead remake was Evil Dead 2...
So This will be the second Evil Dead remake.
Honestly though, its not like either of these need remaking at all. Kinda like the Psycho remake, shot for shot remake? WTF man?
You guys calling for Bruce haven't seen him lately. You might as well be calling for Shatner to return to TJ Hooker. Their action hero days are done and gone.
Imagine Bubba Ho-Tep without the aging makeup.
