How much money do u think u spent total for your collection? I called paypal and asked them whats the total amount I spent. I only use paypal to buy Transformers. I feel so depress now because I spent so much. They told me I spent 37k. But I know I spent more then that on TFs because I also buy them at stores. :cry

37k? As in 37000? That sounds steep man. What's your collection count? Or a close estimate?

I suppose I've spent somewhere around a couple of grand. I don't care though. I'm spending the money on the shit I love.

Yeah 37,000...I'm not sure the count but a lot of it is G1s. Damn Japanese G1s.

If I felt like thinking of the average class price for each of my figures I'd give myself a headache.

But it would definitely be a really high number. I mean, with Cybertron Primus, Cybertron Supreme Starscream, and Armada Unicron, that's about $150 right there. And that's only 3 figures out of my collection of over 400. :p

EDIT: You just gave me something to do this weekend!

Well that makes sense then. Even a loose, nice conditioned G1 figure might go for about 50-60 bones. As long as you're proud of your collection who really cares? It only gets depressing when you start thinking about what you COULD have bought with 37k . . . :D

With only store-bought figs for the past 3 or 4 years... only about $400-500. And I still feel guilty about it, mostly since I don't have a job.

    This.

This is dangerous ground we're treading on here. Some things are best left alone. :)

37 grand on plasticcrack?! F#ck'n Hell! I hope you haven't been ripped-off over the years...

I try not to think about how much I've spent on my collection. When someone asks me, I usually change the subject... *covers face* Years of hunting down Late Japanese G1s has given me a good sense of what they're worth - but the amount of Ebayers who massively over-price their figures still leaves me dumbfounded in disbelief... *shakes head*

No worries man. I'm in the same boat. Seeing it as an investment really helps accept the amounts put on TFs per year. Look at it this way, how many people lost money in the past years in the stock market. Keep in mind that these vintage toys really are good investments.

Let me get out my E-penis measuring stick!
My collection is going along nicely, growing as expected after someone stole 90+% of my collection! 2-3k?

Don't like to keep mine all boxed up! :lol
If I get a good deal on a boxed former, I open it up and sell the box and contents, minus the complete bot of course

I keep an Excel file to track my toy purchases every month, but have not done a total on the expenditure. Really, I don't want to know how much I spent in total, because that can be depressing (and/or shocking)....
