this guy really pisses me off, every couple of months he will punt out the die cast KO's with the bright chrome feet as genuine G1 figures from his ''personal collection'' if you look at his feedback he must have a personal fetish for G1 casettes as he has sold them numerous times all from his personal collection

ebay wants to take shit like this in hand rather than the feedback system

    GAH!

I couldn't even figure out what exactly he was selling!! Isn't there a limit to your auction size? Christ, I've read novels shorter that that auction listing.

to make matters worse, it looks like his images are lifted from Seibertron.com. Just take a look at Ravage, and then look again.

I didn't know muppet could be used as a derogative.
It's all part of his "ingenious" plan to obfuscate the descriptions so buyers will never realize they're being conned.

What I find most amusing in this scenario is the seller's username. Rather ironic, doncha think? :p

he says that: the contents are worth £1861, 3580 or 2780 Euros. i don't know what that translates too here, but it's a lot of money. if all those free gifts were really worth that much, why would he be giving them away?

cos the originals are worth that much. If you burn them onto a DVD like he has, they're worth precisely fuck-all.

This is one thing that puzzles me about Ebay. If they're constantly on the lookout for the bootleg G1 DVD Box Sets so that they can be removed, why don't they go after some of these bootleg G1 toy auctions?

That puzzling question led me once to emailing eBay's CS. Their semi-canned reply stated Hasbro doesn't take part in eBay's VeRO program that protects copyright, trademark, etc owners from infringement like this. I would imagine buyers reporting sellers for bootleg items to eBay would play a role too, since like in this case and many others, the seller doesn't disclose the lack of authenticity and eBay certainly doesn't employ "specialists" like us collectors that can tell the difference. eBay also suggested I contact Hasbro, as if they aren't aware of this problem, to encourage their participation in VeRO.
