ok i'm in debate with a guy on another board.... saying spiderman grossed 900 million... what the transformers done wasn't enough
That's like saying at since the CN Tower in Toronto is taller; the Empire State Building is a failure of engineering.
It only opened in Japan 2 days ago - we'll have to wait and see. Its already in this list - at number 44 http://www.imdb.com/boxoffice/alltimegross?region=world-wide
I think in about a week we should know the final gross. By then it would have played all over the globe. I don't expect it to move up more than 1 position. It's pretty much over now. DVD sales are next!
I dont know - it may take until the end of August. The movie took 6 million in the US last weekend and its been out a month - that alone is enough to bump it two more places up the chart and it only needs to take another 30 million to get into the top 40. its been out in the UK just over a week and in Japan only 3 days - so I think its still got legs.
Wow - Transformers is kicking ass - now at number 36. Could we be looking at a Top 30 movie? It would need to take another $61 million to topple Pirates 2. Not bad for a movie based on Toys - just look at some of the movies it has beaten. http://www.imdb.com/boxoffice/alltimegross?region=world-wide
Nah - I cant see that. Potter is $180 million ahead and is still showing in cinemas. I reckon TF could take up to another $100 million over the next 3-4 weeks - enough to put it in the top 30.
I seriously doubt that. HP has made much more money (world box office) in less time than Transformers. I don't see Transformers coming up with over $170-odd million just from markets like Japan or Germany, given its up against some very serious competition right now.
