    Lovely weather for an October, isn't it? We were in a tornado watch all day yesterday.

    We've been having severe weather throughout our area and in fact a tornado touched down about thirty miles from where I live. Now, we just have to worry about flooding.

    A tornado dropped a tree down the middle of my house when I was 12. If it had fallen about 6 inches to the right, it would have brought my bedroom wall down on my head.

    I get the occasional tornado watch, but we never really get one. I love in a very hilly area so they almost never get a chance to form. I'm not sure what to think about that, because on one hand I'm scared to death of them but on the other I think it would be cool to see one in real life...from a safe distance of course ^^;;

    Rabbit: In a severe lightning storm, you wanna grab your ankles and stick your butt in the air.
    Haynes. He's right. If you get hit, it's the safest orifice.

    I swear, I can quote that film ad verbatim. :lol

    We get the occasional watch/warning. Doesn't really bother me. We're actually hoping that a tornado, or some other natural disaster, takes our house out in some way, so we can build a new one. Seriously, our house is so old that on the deed to it, instead of a date when it was built, it just says old. It was once a 2 room house up town somewhere, and was moved to where it is now and was added on to. This thing is so old, it still has the origional horse-hair plaster in the wals. Can we say, antique, lol.

    A tornado hit my grandparent's house when I was a kid, 1984 or 1985. It was really scary going back to their house a few days after and seeing only their kitchen and bedroom standing. Gave me nightmares for weeks.

    My friends and I say that line all the time during a severe thunderstorm. :lol  I know when I was in a small tornado, back in 1986 the sky was this strange, dark green color before all hell broke loose.
