This is really sad. It seems alot of areas were destroyed, I hope everyone from the boards in these areas are safe with minimal damage.

I live in arkansas and when the storms moved through last night the winds were pretty strong. We ended up in the storm cellar for about 15 mintues but everything missed us thank god. I actually expected to find a tree on top of my house b/c the wind gust were i live got up to about 60-70 mph

Tornados are never fun. Good to hear only 48 died, it could have been WAY worse with how bad the storm was.

My wife just happens to be in Arkansas this week for work. She's fine but she said the storms were insane.

Yep, this system is crazy. You guys get twisters in the south, we're still getting snowed on up here. I haven't gone outside, but I think we're up to a foot and half right now. :(

We had to go into the "emergency shelter" at work yesterday. I was stuck in there for an hour after I was supposed to go home.

My wife and kids hung out in the basement.

No severe damage here, but I did lose shingles off the roof over my laundry room and now it leaks.

Time to put a new roof on back there - again.

Yeah, I got a call today that I'm on standby to go to TN for disaster relief.

Doubt it'll happen. But I'd be down it it does.

I was a little north of where they hit hard. Had lots of warnings on TV and such, but just got lots of rain.

I thought the front of my place was going to cave in. All the windows were shaking. I hate hiding though becasue I can't tell what's going on outside.
Try and keep an eye outside , and then If I see a tornado or funnel cloud, then I hide. lol
Got to admit they get the adrenaline going and it's almost exciting, but scary as hell at the same time. Those tornado sirens really get your blood pumping

It's a shame about those who died. Many payers to their families
