    10 - Smurfette (The Smurfs)
    9 - Bender (Futurama)
8 – Alvin (Alvin and the Chipmunks)
    7 – Michelangelo (TMNT 87)
    6 – Arthur Read (Arthur)
    5 – G1 Optimus Prime
4 – Eric Cartman (South Park)
    3 – Spongebob Squarepants
2 – Stewie Griffin (Family Guy)
1 – Homer Simpson (The Simpsons)

I really can't speak on how accurate this poll is, it's maybe interesting because it mentions G1 Optimus.

Homer being number 1 makes sense, The Simpsons was a cultural phenomenon and landmark.

I guess you could make an argument for this list if you are a provincial yokel unaware there exists a world outside the United States.

That list for the most part is a joke.

Homer and maybe Spongebob are absolute shoe-ins, although I might vote Bart over Homer for worldwide exposure and avalanche of merchandise back in the 1990s. Cartman is a maybe.

The other choices are questionable. We'd all like to see Optimus make the list, but I don't know. Smurfette is iconic, but has no definable character whatsoever. So what criteria are we talking about here? Pure visual recognizability?

I only looked at the typed list.

Where's Batman/Bruce Wayne? Or any other superhero/villain for that matter? It's their opinion, but I feel that somebody in that genre should be in there.

For a list that spans over three decades, there sure isn't a lot of representation of shows that came out from the last decade and a half.

I can't disagree with some of those choices though and it's nice to see Optimus made it.

This is Watchmojo, I'm subscribed to them and for the most part I don't take them too seriously.

Though I do agree with having Optimus, Homer, & Bender on the list.

Ah, I didn't click on the link, but that explains everything. Everything watchmojo does is inane and insipid.

The lack of villains on the list makes me think they just pulled some names at random. No Joker from Batman the Animated series? No Cobra Commander from GI Joe? No Megatron or Starscream from Transformers? No Skeletor from He-Man?

Heroes are okay but we were blessed with some with some fantastic cartoon villains since the 80's. When you look at the series that survived the test of time vs the series that were forgotten it's the series with iconic villains that often stand out.

I don't know what Watchmojo is, but looking at that bland list, I have to agree with STK.
