    Hi everyone, here is my latest figure repaint. Star scream sux big time so I gave him a little sprucing up, he still sux, but just not so bad anymore. I used a couple different metallics and gave him a nice grimy wash and I think he looks good enough for me to display now. Comments and critiques are welcomed with open arms.

    Looks a little plain, some gold, silver or even black may fix that.

    Paint job is nice, just needs SOMETHING to break up the monotone of it.

    yap looks a little plain to me. I was hoping you'd do it in different metallic colors. A gold Protoform starscream would be good but nevertheless, good job!

    Thanks guys! Funny you should say that as I just picked up some Tamiya Gold leaf yesterday for detailing, but it might not look that bad on this guy. I just don't want it coming out like jins or pairadocs as both of theirs looked a little off to me and I wanted him to be I dunno um sexier? lol Anyways my repaints are never quite finished and I am still doing things to my optimus protoform, so all the advice and new ideas really help, keep em coming please.

    Do you think it woud be better if it was more toward this?

    I'm going to start on it when I get home from work. I was thinking though painting him like the comic book would make it look like the original toy right? Oh well no one has done that yet I guess. lol :D

    These are such ugly molds, any time spent repainting them to try to improve them is a complete waste. This is no exception.

    Comments like the one above are pointless and stupid, any time spent writing them is a complete waste. This is no exception.

    I think you did a great job on improving him. I would say to make the red brighter to set some contrast, especially in the eyes.

    Thanks man, I think someone needs the good old banhammer, rude comments on every post he can find is not acceptable. Thanks for the compliment though and yeah I think the red needs to be darker too.

    Every post but two, so far. ^^;

    Anywho, I was wondering if your were planning to modify this guy at all, or is it going to be just be a straight-up repaint? I think increasing the length of the shoulder fins and modifying the head to look more like the comic would really help this guy out.

    As far as the paint goes, maybe lighten up the silver some?

    Nah just a re-paint as I have already inked him and nothing will stick now. Yeah the comic image is bad ass, but the figure is just regular ass.

    Thanks man after what old blue eyes said I am glad some people like my work. For my pictures I use a fold up light box that I got from wall mart, comes with lights and a tripod, best investment ever. Thanks again everybody.
