Alright, I've had a time capsule buried in my parents' back yard for 16 years. It's a milkjug, and it contains numerous little toys, including a Fracas targetmaster figure. I just spent 5 hours trying to dig for this damn thing, my back is killing me, and I haven't found poop. I know the general area it's buried in, but even that's not narrowing it enough. I just assume spend a poopload of cash or toys for this. If you're willing to consider even possibly parting with your Targetmaster Scourge or just the Fracas figure, send me a PM. I'd rather not post my offer here. I also have a bunch of complete G1 toys I could trade, and I'll happily send you a list.

    Thanks,

    Robowang

That is simultaneously hilarious and tragic. Have you considered perhaps a metal detector?

Can't help you with Fracas, but good luck if you try again...

Yeah I'd do what GrantB suggested, do you remember how deep you buried it?

I was in fifth grade when my friend and I made this "time capsule." I thought I remembered where it was, but once I got behind the shed, my memory went haywire and I had no clue. Plus, the nearby tree has spread its roots into that area, making it really hard to dig. It is kinda funny, but also, yeah, pretty sad. Such a rare little figure. And possibly some other neat stuff. I think some Monster in My Pocket figures, some Starcom figures, some Lego space figures, another Targetmaster, and some other random stuff is probably in there. I guess I'll never know, 'cause I spent an hour last night filling in the hole after I gave up.

Seriously, someone has to have a TM Scourge for sale or trade. Make me an offer. I guarantee you'll be on the winning side.

I don't know if there's any metal in the jug. Did Fracas have a metal pin, or was he like the other Decepticon TMs?

Use water to make the digging easier.

I may be wrong here, but as I recall the plastic in milk jugs isn't the most impervious to rot. It could well be long gone(or mildly rotted), leaving only the carcasses of its contents behind.

Especially with roots attacking. Last summer I had to replace my drain waste pipes which had steel bands and concrete defeated by roots.
