    Title says all.

I pick Joker. He beat Batman mentally. Twice. And was entirely unpredictable. And had all the little nuances, like the licking of the lips. While Bane is a badass, his plan is lessened because a lot of it was Talia's.

Joker was more entertaining. We laughed a lot at his jokes. Even the horrible ones.

Bane was really cool, and really dangerous. He had a great personality, but not to the super-human level the Joker was.

This can only be settled by Tom Hardy in a nurse outfit. Only then can we accurately judge.

I don't know if there is a nurse's outfit that could contain his mass. Plus, Bane couldn't get the "Hi" down, like Joker did.

    Joker.
Bane is cool and all with
blowing up a football stadium, taking Gotham with the help of Talia and breaking tons of necks
, but he Joker on the other hand managed to bring Batman down by killing Rachel and transforming Dent.

    I regret nothing. :p

But seriously, I loved Heath's Joker. His performance was groundbreaking. But I like Bane better as a villain. Can't explain why I just did. His presence alone gives a sense of bad assery.

While I loved the Joker, Bane was just on a totally different level.
He broke the Bat, physically and mentally; controlled Gotham for 5-6 months; made sure that the US Government couldn't do anything by using the decaying nuclear core; trapped a majority of the Gotham police force underground; made sure no-one could escape by destroying most of the bridges that lead out of the city; released all of the prisoners that the Harvey Dent Act had locked up; used Dagget to get Batman's armory; inspired complete and utter loyalty in his men, so much so that they would even die for him; and he almost would have succeeded had Batman not flown the nuclear core, via auto-pilot, over the ocean and had it detonate there, some distance away from Gotham.

While it could be argued how much of the plan was Talia's and how much was Bane's, but in my eyes it doesn't negate the fact that Bane was a beast.

The Joker was very well characterized and He had so much to him, His lines were delivered very nicely.
(unlike Bane who seemed to have a consistant calm voice where as Joker was unpredictable and full of madness, I felt Bane needed to be pushed outta comfort zone a bit)

The Joker carried out lots of plans he himself set up but Bane definitely accomplished more though I'd say they're just about equal in mastermind planning.

I found Bane more menacing due to the mask and the emotion he portrayed through his eyes alone he at times was very enthusiastic about what he was doing and at other time you can see the Hate in his eyes, there was some great acting through expressions going on here.

    performance wise: Joker.
    threat wise: Bane

Out of the two i think I'd have to say Bane was the better Villian overall but only slighly.

Bane. He was more of a threat to Gotham than Joker. Joker was there to spread fear into Gotham. Bane actually took it over and held it under control.

He was far more brutal than Joker, with all his neck-snapping.

Joker. Even if I thought Bane was good, I'd still pick Joker cause Ledger played him so damn well.

Snapping necks is old. Jamming a guy's head into a pencil was new.

It was there mostly for shock value, though. Shock value wears out after awhile just like snapping necks.

It's not fair to compare the two. Tom was constricted because you can't see his face. Tom Hardy is an overall better actor, see Bronson.

I like Joker...because he was "cooler".....Bane, didn't bullshit....he did what he said he was gonna with little too much talking.....mentally Joker gave BM problems...Bane had the upper hand well BM was older and tired.....Bane falling to second tier didn't bother me...well because if you have benn following it...you knew what the plot was....Bane was more brutal....but Joker was more brilliant twisted mind...so I said Joker by a bit...but I can't vote....lol

I can't vote because it is too close to call. They're both fantastic villains that are really different from each other.
