This is to the numerous people that kept saying that Soundwave would have a big part to play in the movie even after i told them that he wasnt going to. He had between 15-30 seconds of footage. so... TOLD YA SO!

But he did play a big part in the movie. He was the Decepticons eyes and ears practically the entire time.

He actually got quite a bit of screen time, I was surprised.

yeah he basically was the decepticon intelligence agent. He found the shard, he found Sam, He found Megatrons body. With out SW the cons would have been with out any of the info they needed

Soundwave in ROTF was like Megatron in the first season on Animated.

Yeah, I was going to say for his lack of screen time he managed to pull off quite a few solid moves that put NEST and Optimus on the backfoot. In fact Soundwave stands as shining proof that less is more.

He was the main factor that got Megatron revived. Which set the entire movie into gear.

I would say he was important.

LOL Soundwave was awesome and doing what he typically does best, Spy and report. I wonder if he could hear a fly sneeze from way up there.

I gotta agreee with this. In fact, Soundwave might've been my favorite part of the movie. The Dr. Claw voice, the fact that he did something more significant than just being random cannon fodder in flashy action scenes, I even liked the way he looked in this one (not terribly true to the original, but still very neat looking).
