    Tokumei Insecticon: Bombshell and Sharpnel

This was the candy-toy version of Go-Buster Beet (one of the "megazord" robots from Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters).
He kinda looks like Bombshell already, and most stickers match Insecticon's color scheme, I didn't need to do much modification or use any cover paper.
Painted it with Tamiya spray cans.
BTW, this's my first attempt repainting a complete figure, met some problems, had fun solving them :D

    UPDATE:

Now Sharpnel transforms into Skywarp and back! LOL

And of course they can combine.

Neat idea. Are you gonna repaint Stag?

    I'd like to.
However, since Stag doesnt have a robot mode, I'm still figuring how to fit him with Shrapnel~

So... how big is that candy figure then? Mind putting him up against other figures like an actual insecticon?

    Looks nice btw

You should definitely repaint Stag to go with him... even if he doesn't have a bot mode.

And I found a video of the two figures reviewed. Scout sized it looks.

Candy Toy Buster Machines BC-04 and SJ-05 - YouTube

There's a much larger scaled version, but honestly seems like the smaller version is a bit more articulate? IDK, the arms/shoulders on the smaller figure looks better proportioned to me.

    That's correct.

The DX (bigger, mainline) version of Sentai robot toys are like G1s, big plastic blocks and bricks with spring loaded clicky joints, sometimes comes with gimmicks (lights, sounds etc.).
But their Mini-Pla (candy toy) versions are TF-mainline posable and super-robot-looking proportioned.
Totally opposite approach to Kabaya's TF candy toys.

The scale is somewhere between Scout and older Deluxe... or similar to nowaday Deluxe FOC Optimus... or regular HG 1:144 Gunpla.
    Weight's similar to Animated's Activators.
I usually buy these in Hongkong~
Or you might find them on places like BTS or RK~ Better ask Vangelus, I heard him been buying lot of these.

In other words, just about the perfect size for an Insecticon. :)

How much to these things go for?

These things are usually about 3 to 10 bucks a box depending on where you look. Cstoys currently has the 3 box set for beetle and stag for $22.92

Also saw two links on eBay for about 30 bucks for the 3-box kits after shipping.

Thanks guys... I'm going to keep my eyes open. These look pretty cool (especially with a sweet repaint like this).

Looks great. I was planning to do shattered glass insecticons with the same molds. You have proven that it won't look like shit
