Truthfully, at 28, I shouldn't be playing with them anyways...
    I consider them poseable statues...
Kinda like works of art (excluding Rollbar... BLEH.)

I will be building a nice G1 Ark-themed display case for them next year.

That's all well and good, but you have not lived until you've had a massive FAB war across your house while eating KFC at 2:00 AM.

    Buzzkill.

I loved Alternators, just wish the distro would have been better with them.

Indeed, one of the greatest lines to execute the robots in disguise motif.

I still love them, but haven't picked up like 5 to complete the set, mainly because of their repaint status. Otherwise, I am definitely looking forward to SDCC Alt. Rodimus. :thumb

Lets not forget that very same convention unvieled MP-01 Convoy. I don't think I was ever so inlove with toys as much as with Smokescreen and MP Convoy. THey were so complex and definatly the kind of Transformers I always wanted to have. Even when more complex MP figures have come out like Starscream and Megatron, I wasn't nearly as impressed as the very first time. It's the first big leap that people remember most. THe only way I think that day could be toped (in my eyes) would be MP figures from the movie.... that are damn close to the film models. Now that would be amazing.

Ah yes, I remember drooling over this picture. MP Prime is still one of the highest points in TF history to me.

Wow, such a nostalgia trip reading this thread. And it's only been four years! :cry  But what four years! At least there's Alt Rodimus and BT Mirage to look forward to, a swath of MPs hopefully and Classics 2.0 next year! :D

You want nostalgia? I remember drooling over Car Robots when it came out because the Autobots were back, and as real vehicles! And that was 7 years ago.

Oh man. Now THAT'S some nostalgia I can get behind! I was actually kinda' shocked. I grew up with Beast Wars, so to see my childhood hero Optimus Primal as some dude named Optimus Prime that changed into a truck was weird at first! But, I VERY quickly grew to like it.

I was so excited back then. Rapidly lost my interest in them though, but at the beginning it was great. Smokescreen and Silverstreak are still my favorite Alts, btw.

Yeah, I can remember being in TRU with my wife, and one of the employees there had a discussion with me about how the TFs were vehicles again. I bought Optimus Prime, and couldn't believe I would pay so much for a TF!
    So naive.

i'd like to thank Nevermore for his old BinAlternators sight too. when it was up n running, it was packed with the most up-2-date info on releases and rumors.

Ah yes, the Alt line....by far my favorite toy line evah!.....

I remember my first one I bought....it was Hound, I had seen the others in the toy stores and what not, but never looked at them close enough to notice what they were all about....that is until I saw Hound while vacationing in Florida.

I have been hooked since then.

So with SDCC Hot Rod we bid fairwell to this line....and in my opinion, there will NEVER be another TF line like it....EVAH!....it was awesome while it lasted.

Yeah, I remember seeing those prototype pictures at the beach and my jaw just dropped. Those pictures of the prototype Masterpiece Prime and Alternators Smokescreen just made me go nuts. My little brother and I were so psyched about them.
