I never picked up hothead or butcher, since there both about 30 bucks so I cant comment. But I would definetly pick up blood (bludgeon head) its under 20 bucks and looks awesome with the chrome swords.

I personally own the BBTS Excl. Hardhead Kit, they're real niffty and give a nice upgrade to Hardhead, especially those weapons he comes packed with... plus you can use the same head for a G1 Hardhead which is cool as well.

The alternate/IDW Hothead is pretty great. If anything, it just makes me wish the Universe base figure was better.

Ok cool, that's what I was hoping to hear. Trying to scour eBay for a cheap Hardhead almost seems like a fools errand, but once I have the base, buying the upgrade will be a no-brainer. Thanks guys

Yea, I love them. Even if you don't have Hardhead yet, I would put the restock of the original head upgrade on preorder from BBTS. Though I have yet to get my Comic Style head in hand yet (been sitting in my POL for months), I personally prefer the original ones look better. Take a good look at them before ordering one to see which you prefer.

The upgrade really sets the figure apart from being a repaint to being a somewhat decent representation of the G1 figure for me. They keep repainting it, I will keep buying it.

It's a very nice quality piece. Without it, having Hardhead and Onslaught is kind of redundant

I actually went out of my way to purchase a Hardhead, and then got the BBTS comic version one. It's really a worthwhile set. It really enhances the figure a lot, and is such a simple touch. The little headmaster himself feels simple, but once you start realizing that it's a balljointed headmaster with all the features, and add the guns, etc, it's really fantastic.

I have both the BBTS exclusive Hothead and the Blood the Dark Warrior for Bludgeon. Both are very high quality and add a ton of value to each of them, IMO.

I wouldn't hesitate buying anything from them in the future.

That is freaking awesome right there.

As for Hardhead, I have the regular figures and have Hothead in my POL waiting to ship. Also waiting on Butcher and the Blood set. To me I think it just takes those figures over the top.

Hardhead definately needs a new head and guns. The Blood set is just perfection, so you cannot argue with that. I just hope Butcher and Blood come in stock soon.

Dormamu, is that the normal or BBTS exclusive version on yours? Though I gotta say, those pics are really good. Of course, a little Wheeljack action is always welcome.

I've got the original Hothead version (always preferred the toy head design) and love it. Great quality. I have their Cobra Head as well, it's really fun too.

I've got the Stronghold one, and it's a fantastic kit. Lots of thought went into the design, and it really does add a lot to an already decent toy. Really worth picking up if you can lay your hands on one IMO.

Ive got the normal Hothead, Blood and Gyro.

Hothead REALLY makes the figure worthwhile. I prefer the normal version because I find the chin on the BBTS exclusive too large, and the lips too silly looking. Also it bears a better resemblance to the Headmasters version of Hardhead. I'm anxiously awaiting a good version of Chromedome and Highbrow to complete the trio.

Gyro is pretty cool. The base figure is pretty bad, but you get a pretty decent Whirl when all is said and done.

Blood takes a great figure and makes it even better. It fixes the only problems the toy had, and pretty much gives you a Henkei Bludgeon.

Where was Ratchet? He shoulda been helping WJ out!:D

Has anyone else got a Hothead w/ super loose joints or did I just happen to get a defective one? Even the superglue trick wont work on the little bastard. Looks good in head for though!
