To those people who decorate for Christmas the first 2 weeks in November:

Stop it! Just please stop it! Its just way too soon. There are other holidays in November that you can decorate for. Like Veteran's Day and um..Thanksgiving. Do you see me decorating for St. Patrick's Day in January? No. It would look stupid. But that doesn't seem to stop some people. My neighbor started decorating her yard on November first. It makes her yard look trashy. I can understand some people putting lights up when its not that cold yet. But don't turn them on yet. At least wait till the day after Thanksgiving.

The first two weeks in November??? My tree has been up since last November!! I don't use outside decorations, though, so I don't appear to be a freak from the exterior.

my family usually puts up stuff up the weekend after thanksgiving. We do have a welcome sign with snowmen up on our door right now. And we're going to put out some of our new deco today (table runner, table cloth) because we can't stand to keep them in the package!

Normally I wait until December 1st at the earliest, but my new roommate decided to decorate on November 1st. It's way too soon, but he wanted to and I didn't feel like forcing him to wait.

We always put them up the day after Thanksgiving in order to avoid the temptation of actually going out on black Friday. Last time I did that I almost got in a fist fight with a guy when his fat ass wife stepped right out in front of us without looking at Target.

Thanksgiving in is October. You're complaining about people putting up decorations at the start of November, but telling people to put them up after Thanksgiving?!!!

    Hehe...

the stickers that were on the door is still there (has been there for a few years now)....and one of the neighbors still got the X-Mas lights from last year (or maybe even the years before that)....though it dont get turned on til December.

Ala Moana Center already has X-Mas decorations set....even the big (but fake) X-Mas Tree.

I never decorate, but if having Christmas decorations up all year round makes people happy, then they can do it by all means.

At least Canada still has a Thanksgiving. The way everyone's already carrying on about Christmas, I'd swear Thanksgiving was decommissioned down here.

Anyway, I don't decorate my place for Christmas (I don't celebrate the holiday), but my parents usually start setting up their tree and things around their house at the beginning of December. Sometimes they turn on the outdoor lights the last week in November, but typically that's left for early December as well.

My neighbor has put up so many Christmas lights that it has now rendered my porch light useless.
