...Can you check if this is true? It's appearantly a 1:30m video that's showed after the teaser.

Doomofman pointed this out on the DM boards: http://www.d13satellite.com/donmurphy/showthread.php?threadid=15359. It sounds too good to be true, but it's interesting none the less.

It's not a hidden video after the teaser or anything. It's a clearly marked menu chapter on Disc 1 called "Transformers Movie Featurette" or something similar. And after just watching it again after reading your post, I can concretely tell you that the details of Prime which you read about are greatly exagerated. Yes there's a shot of his truck mode without flames, but that's because it's completely stripped of ALL paint. You see it for less that a millasecond, but on pause, you can tell the truck is being primed (no pun intended) for the paint job we've all since seen - the one that's glossy blue with red flames.

So no, the wool hasn't been pulled over our eyes like that guy was trying to imply. Just more anxious fan fodder trying to be turned into fact.

Mot likely a pre-concept version. Flames are here to stay.

I think it was just a quick shot of the truck with out the paint painted on. There's another quick shot of the older camaro for Bumblebee that is just a black-gray color, again the same deal I would guess. Either before they painted the cars, or they have the paint stripped off. No biggie.

if uploading a single shot is bad, feel free to delete it mods. Just trying to clear up a misconception.

I'll agree that all special features should be left off youtube. too many people at sony and too many fans worked way too hard for that stuff to be populating a video site like that. they deserve to be paid for their work.

then they gotta turn in their Transformer fan card.

ditto for anyone who'd skip this DVD. its essential. I'm not saying you have to buy it right away, but if you have $20 in your pocket and you buy some other movie instead of this the next time you're out shopping, you cannot call yourself a fan.

maybe thats a little harsh, but TFTM is one of the few things everyone in the fandom can agree upon. Love or hate it, its still the most important TF fiction produced thus far.

Most important? I disagree with that. It is ONE of the most important pieces, up there with The Agenda trilogy, a few of the comic stories and a some other things.

    So if I don't ever buy this DVD, I'm not a fan?:banghead:

    WOW!! :redface2:

It's not essential, what if someone doesn't like the movie. There's no such thing as essentials to being a fan of anything :)

Well I knew it'd happen, just didn't think it would happen so soon.

    VERY disrespectful IMPO :(

Youtube's in the process of purging all copyrighted material. They annouced it a little after they were bought by Google. I know it'll be a while before they get it all, but it'll happen sooner or later.

Yeah its the MOST important because if I turn to any NON transformer fans my age most will still say they've seen the movie, but ask them how they enjoyed War Within or Agenda and i'll get a funny look.

TFTM is a cornerstone of the fandom because its a cornerstone to being a kid in the 80s. a lot of people have seen that movie and so it help legitimize us as a fandom.

the production on this DVD is more than anything else a sign of things to come. if this does well, theres no reason to think a similar, extremely well produced G1 DVD set will come, along with more attention to detail on future series. TFTM is the big one, this proves theres enough fans to warrant making more. It happened with Rhino releasing the DVD and then the show, and its happening now.

    Wow, that's um f'ing great :redface2:

It's not like the movie's that expensive and I'd rather support the industry anyway

I'm surprised at how many sites are reporting that as news and are embedding it. So even when youtube deletes it. People will still be able to see it :(

TFormers I can understand, but the other sites I'm surprised at

Embedding the video in a webpage doesn't mean it won't go away when YouTube removes it from their servers.

Oddly curious that some of the people here don't seem to have had a problem with copyrighted content that's been littering YouTube before...
