This goes out to ALL of the TFW2005 Dads out there. There was a thread started yesterday but that was directed at UK dads only.

So did any of your kids and/or significant others get you any TFs for Father's Day yesterday?

My beautiful wife and two daughters got me a homemade card and also HFtD Leader Starscream and Henkei Hound. WHOO HOO!!

    How about you?

Yeah the homemade cards are THE BEST!!

I thought it was so cool that my wife and daughters helped to feed my hobby by buying me a couple of toys for father's day!!

I got a homemade somewhat card from the gf's kid and the walmart exlusive Ops w/commettor. Would of been better but she was sick all day so that put a damper on things.

    It's Fathers Day, not Christmas.

I got to spend the day with my daughter having fun and being as much of a family as we can be. We built Kre-O Megatron together (which I bought the other day), played games and went for a walk then to dinner.
That was all I ever wanted or asked for.

big Father's day kisses from my 2 year old son and another from my one month old son. Then we spent the day building all the Kre-o sets (Big prime set, Megs, Jazz, Prowl and Mirage.... BB and SS are going back to the store) my wife picked up for me and I made dinner for my Dad... a busy day!!

My wife went to a specialty European market and got me a variety pack of sausages including Krakowska, Knackwurst, Moroccan Lamb, Andouille, Polish and Caribbean Jerk. And three varieties of mustard! It was too much to finish everything but I got to try it all and it was wonderful, plus we went for a nice long walk with the babies and doggy. And on Saturday we went to a Father's Day pool party, the babies' first time swimming!

I don't have much time to play with toys anyway. Infants are way more fun than Transformers. I spent hours yesterday trying to teach my daughter how to blow kisses. I think I made progress but she was probably just asking for food. :lol

I understand that it isnt Xmas and you have a very good point but, receiving a gift from your family to express their love for you in addition to spending the day with them is fairly common practice.

Plus the days of receving the striped tie are very cliche and are more than overwith.....imo there's nothing wrong with getting something that has to do with a hobby that you may have....as a fathers day gift..

    Father's Day

Nah, got a card, and some time with the family.

I never viewed Father's day as a gift receiving day growing up, but I got a few things last year, much to my surprise. I guess it's nice to recognize people on days like father's day, mother's day, etc. But count me as one of those ppl that believes that every day should be father's day, mother's day, valentine's, etc.

No toys but wife and 2 year old daughter made daddy some biscuits while he took a hour afternoon nap. Built some Kre-O's that daddy bought with the daughter earlier in the day. Great time altogether with the wife and kid.

Are they polydactyls? The only one of our cats that buys gifts for me online is the dude with his own thumbs. :)

The other ones only give me dead mice from the front yard. :(
