The Comic started in 84, I was playing the Die-20 RPG in 85, This Cartoon started in 87 and the Toy Line was 88 which makes this line a bit early.

"The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles originated in an American comic book published by Mirage Studios in 1984"

"Among the first licensed products to feature the Ninja Turtles was a pen and paper RPG titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness, published by Palladium Books in 1985 and featuring original comics and illustrations by Eastman and Laird themselves."

"On December 14, 1987, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' first cartoon series began, starting as a 5-part miniseries and becoming a regular Saturday morning syndicated series on October 1, 1988 with 13 more episodes."

"Playmates held up their end of the deal and produced the first series of TMNT action figures in the summer of 1988"

I'm hoping the reissue Kraang with his walker or in the big suit, those are the only older TMNT figs I'd be interested in.

You know I found these at Kay Bee not more then 5 years ago for some reason. I'm not at home but if I still have one in pagkage I will check the date when I can.

Anyways, I have these molds already, and they are pretty cool and glad people can get them who don't have them, but they had some problems. They were really unarticulated, had oddly proportioned molds, and actually didn't resemble any of their media counterparts (cartoons, comics, or movies). So, all the updates we've had through the ones based on TMNT, the newer cartoons, and NECA's comic versions are all quite a bit better.

Oh, but if I see Slash, he's bought.

Found these at Kay-Bee 5 years ago? Weird. :sly:  Well anyways, I was never a huge fan of the TMNT. I just had the 4 turtles and Shredder. I may purchase these for nostalgia.

Sweet. If I can find them the next time I go out to Target, I'll try and get a Donatello figure. He was always my favorite one of the four.

Is it too much to ask for Krang and the Technadrome?

It wasn't all of them, I believe it was Leo, Don, and Raph. But Kay Bee has problems with restocking with merchandise found deeply hidden in their stockroom. I've seen other incidents like this for various toy line. I did read somewhere that they were reissued or rereleased sometime in the late 90's. But, I have no rcollection of where I read that.

Looking forward to these. I just won the sewer lair nearly complete and in great shape from eBay for 12 dollars.

The seller put "TMNT Vintage Lair" and not the word "Sewer" in the title.

Ok, so first, I'm home now and checked the Leonardo I got at Kay Bee around 5 or 6 years ago. It said 1998. So, this isn't the first time they were reissued. It even still has a Kay Bee price tag which has it marked down from $5.99 to $3.99 (what I paid for it).

Second, I just got back from Target and checked for these guys, but only found empty pegs where they should have been.

In that picture, it looks as if Don has blue on instead of purple. Shredder also looks like most of his skin is exposed.

I know TMNT is popular but I'm not sure how these are going to sell. Go to any flea market & you can buy TMNT figures buy the boatload. It seems that if any table sells toys, there is a basket full of TMNT vintage figures there.

They should be in for the new toy transition.

The OP seems to have had the same problem I did when I went and found the figures. No Leo. :{ I want to buy these, especially Raph and Leo because I never got an original Raph (had all three of the others, squishy head), and Leo was always my favorite.

My Mike's nuchuks always broke! Dod anyone else had that problem? I noticed that it will break after "storing" it at his back.

I think its a neat idea, but releasing them after NECA's amazing turtles makes them really unappealing to me.

NECA Turtles = Wrath of Khan
V2 classic reissue turtles = ST: The Motion Picture

Well, the originals have there own nostalgia factor. I love the NECA ones. These, however, don't appeal to me at all. Maybe if they did these in the Cartoon colors...

What are those? They look alright, but compared to the NECA Turtles they seem unnecessary.

If you stored them in every other loop, they don't break.

So from the back Mike's got 4 loops, 1-4 left to right. Put one nunchucku in loops 1 and 3, and the other nunchucku in 2 and 4.

Speaking of... do you guys hang the nunchucks upside down with the "chain" hanging down? I do.
