That's why if they're gonna go live, I'd prefer them to use costumes similar to how they did in the first two movies. Then again I'm a dinosaur and the majority of fans don't share my taste on this one ; but I'm sure whatever they use will be great.
Yeah, Karai wasn't exclusive to the 2003 cartoon. But she was probably put in so kids would recognize her. I hope that characters like Leatherhead, Hun, Bishop, and Stockman get their chances to shine in this new continuity, as well as maybe the new movie.
Oh that's pure bullshit. I don't even care if it still isn't related to the 2003 show, the idea that the TMNT CG movie is a sequel to the live action films is just comepletely stupid. Even if the creators say that's what it's suppose to be, they can eat shit and go to hell, that's just moronic bullshit. ...I'm way to angry over this.
I agree with Paxtin it was not a sequel to any of the live action movies and you can't even argue that
it... WAS a sequel to the first 3. All the signs are there (Super Shredder's helmet, the time scepter) . However, it was written in such a way that it could stand on it's own with only having the most basic knowledge of the TMNT lore.
Let the raping of childhoods begin! Michael Bay Teases ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Origin Change for Reboot
Eeeeeeeeh, that's a change I'm not completely behind... Making them aliens can make SOME sense. When they're young they look like normal turtles, but be come more humanoid as they mature, etc. But doing that pretty much takes the "Mutant" out of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".
I really don't see much difference between "baby alien-turtles who fell on the sewer and were raised by a mutant rat" and "mutant turtles who fell in the sewer and were raised by a mutant rat".
In fairness, I'm sure this will be a much more minor complaint after the Turtles join the US Army and Donatello cuts Shredder's head off.
Well I've just lost all desire to see the movie. I wonder if the inevitable backlash will get the script changed.
The CGI movie was it's own thing, but made references to both the current show and the original movies. It was weird.
