It seemed like he was released, but, yeah...."hardly" sounds about right.

It doesn't transform. No noticeable hinges whatsoever.

For those who want this guy and don't mind buying a little oil, my little brother just sent me this. He got the rebate form at a Fleet Farm, but this seems to provide a little more detail than other things I've noticed skimming this thread and the internets.
Overall, it ends up being ~30 for a deluxe-size, non-transforming transformer, so it's a bit steep, but hey, premiere prices, right? XD

If you just bought 5 quarts of oil it might cost you $30 but remember the form says that it must be full synthetic oil, that's going to run you about $45 to $75 to get an oil change in your car. Valvoline is a little on the pricy side at about $95 for a full synthetic oil change. I found a Groupon deal for full synthetic oil change at Valvoline for $47 but I think that form is saying that you can't use any other offers and would have to pay full price. I guess if you needed to get your oil changed anyways, you use full synthetic oil and you didn't mind spending a few more bucks might as well get it done at Valvoline and get this figure.

I already change my own oil and use full synthetic, but Valvoline isn't my brand.

I'm due for an oil change in the next week, but do I really want a toy enough to change the oil I use?

You only have to buy the oil for the promotion, though. You don't have to pay for an oil change.
