Hasbro - totally agree, oversized KO - completely disagree.
The KO is ridiculous accurate, super posable & has no kibble; whereas this mold is pretty limited on posabilty & has a fair amount of un-utilized kibble.
But, stock vs stock - definitely.

Are you referring to the M01-Commander?

I too have that one and it's AWESOME!

I believe so, sadly - I've either not had the money or the commitment to buy that mold; but with TLK Bulkhound not really wowing me (from pics & vids I've seen online), I'm strongly considering the newest Leader-sized KO with the tire toes.

Back then, I wanted to modify the voyager like the Wei Jiang version. Never got around to it!

Here's my old custom compared to the new one. I think the TLK iteration of voyager Optimus is much better as a toy. It's easier and more to fun to transform. It's beefy proportioned bot mode makes the Rubik's cube-styled Prime in hiding look a bit more impoverished - but both are still great toys imo.

That's the killer - I love the end result of the AOE VGR, but getting there is a royal pain; but TLK VGR is a very fun process, I just can't get the roof cap pegged in properly in alt mode.

    What do you all think...

Should I add the red war paint to his face and paint his eyes purple, or no?

    Damn... That's a helluva question...
    Actually, no - that's easy.
This one - yes, were it the maskless variant - no.

I plan on waiting till the movie for my custom, just to see if the red marks are actually there, since they seem to appear and disappear in the same shots over multiple ads and promos.

If that won't be an option for you, I'd say no, since the eyes on yours are blue, unless you paint the eyes purple, in that case, yes.

I think I'll also wait until after the movie comes out to see howI feel about it.

I redid the magnet mod on the end of his wrist so that he could get better articulation for the sword play!

There are 2 magnets at two different angles inside his hand which allow for better variety of posing.

... having trouble removing the grey part behind the black step up boxes that are connected to his tanks and feet.

I removed the screw from each one, but are they glued in place? Cuz they ain't budging!

    Thank you.

I only have one idea at this time, and that's to cut off the doors from the side panels and attach them to the roof via folding + rotational hinge. However, I'm not sure I'll do it yet.

More alt mode pictures. Mostly just metallic silver with flat steel and flat gun metal enamels.

    PicsArt_05-16-04.04.04.jpg

Man the truck flames aren't even remotely accurate to the actual truck. Eh, I'll leave them as is. I'll just have to add the flames on the rear fenders.

Yeah, they're glued in. I broke mine trying too get them off, but glue fixed them without issue.

I like the door idea & agree with you about the flames - I pity the fool that tries to replicate that insane pattern...

The door relocation sounds interesting, I would like to see how it would work. All the kibble is hard to break up more than it already is...

Haha! I want to attempt to replicate the truck mode flames...
