The more I think about it, neither Megatron or Blitzwing use this feature officially. So

I reckon a G2 Megatron will show up in a boxset, probably the Fireblast one, that does use this feature.

 

I found my construct bots megatron set decided to give Megatron a new Fusion Cannon along with some new weapons including a forearm guard

 

I've had mine for a few weeks, and I love this guy. I honestly like him better than the CW Leader Megs. He's not perfect, but he is fun to mess with. Personally when I have him in Tank mode I like to keep the robot feet out, and flipped forward so as to give him a better front end than just the jet mode thrusters.

The really funny thing is he also makes me think he could be modded into another character. One that isn't even a Transformers character. The grey color and jet parts really make me think of Leader-1 from Gobots. I could see how you could use this figure as a base to make a custom Leader one.

 

Slap Broadside's head on him and it's pretty much done.

Ugh. I want to want this figure. The mold looks great and I am in need of a Voyager Megs (CW Megatron is great, but I don't have the space to regularly display Leaders) but... goddamn, I hate the warm gray plastic. Especially in conjunction with the unpainted face. Sigh.

 

I have a voyager Megs custom that's been keeping me from getting this guy, but I may just have to cave, simply because the transformation looks fun.
Darn but I missed some good pre-Easter sales for him though.

 

What should be the third use of this mold after Blitzwing? I think Blitzwing should be remolded into Doubledealer again. I actually don't mind him having a jet mode instead of a falcon mode, nor do I mind him becoming an Autobot tank and a Decepticon jet with his robot mode being his neutral form. I see Doubledealer as a mercenary openly working for both sides rather than a traitor or undercover agent. His Titan Master partner should be Clouder, the human from Masterforce.

 

I'd actually like a Flywheels, or some other bot with similar colors to put the Skythread head on...  

 

Yeah, Flywheels would work too.

 

As per above, I see a G2 Megatron in one of the Intelligence or, more likely, Firepower boxsets.

 

Finally found this guy and He is my favorite Classics style Megatron. As a triple changer he is the best of the TR voyagers but no where near gen Springer.

Standing next to the original classics voyager Optimus Prime he looks great. Megaton is slightly taller and wider which is perfect in my mind.

I have a few issues which might be seen as nit picking. I wish his fist could rotate. The stickers on the plane wings are crap. My final issue might be an problem with just my figure, the pins on the chest plate and legs on the Titan master aren't leveled.

 

Had a feeling this guy might look sweet with Hegemon's arm cannon...

 

If Takara releases this as Megatron, I'd like the jet mode to be colored accurately as Starscream's cartoon appearance, but only the jet.

 

God DAMN. I am missing something or doing something wrong here because for the life of me I cannot get Megatron's knees tabbed into his hips for the initial alt mode transformations.

I can see what needs to happen, it's just..not reaching. Watched Chefatron and Baltmatrix's videos and I'm still not getting it. A pictorial guide or slow, detailed video would be a big help.

 

the first time i did it..you REALLY had to force the tabs in that close the legs. first time was tough. after that easy. might be paint in the holes?

If the leg panel looks like this, then you're transforming the leg wrong because the tab that tabs into his thigh isn't tabbed into place:




In order to get it to tab into place, you need to get his leg into this sort of position:



Take your right hand and grab a hold of the leg. Put your index finger on the front part of the leg with your thumb on the back part where the hinge is:



And then take your left hand and put your thumb on the top bit of his leg (it's circled in red). Use your left thumb to push on that part while using your right thumb to push on the hinge:



And if I expained this right, you should end up with the tab plugged into the thigh and the panel no longer being pushed upward:

Just curious but is there a good place to store that grey part of Megatron's gun when he's in tank mode?

 

Depending on your own preferences, it does lock in above the black fusion cannon.
