Right now he just looks too much like Chromedome, and his paint scheme isn't that inspiring. I definitely want to see some in hand shots and see if I'm more interested than what I'm seeing in the renders.
Really wish Getaway was more MTMTE based, one of my fave characters & this just isn't satisfying. All the others are dope though & I wanna scoop em up.
Just God Breakaway really needed some more retooling done to make his body less Chromedome & DEFINITELY needs more pink.
That Hot Rod is snazzy, and Twinferno, much better name. The other seems much more decepticon-like. All in all, all 4 are bought on sight kind of purchases.
Doublecross, Hot Rod and especially Triggerhappy are all must-gets Getaway's the laziest thing I've seen since CW Blast Off. (Although at least he gets the right head)
What's wrong with Chromedome? He's really pretty good in hand. Getaway is the one that looks like a lazy repaint of Chromedome. I don't really want Getaway but buying the whole wave where I am is more worth it than hunting down and buying 3 out of 4. No matter. All of them look great!
Whoever was in charge of names/trademarks on the robot formerly known as Doublecross clearly said "Let's have some fun with this." at some point. I find the trademarkability of an English to Kana writing back to English translation ... intriguing.
Hot Rod seems to be turning out quite well... think he'll fit in the season 2 team CHUG line up. (Sadly he's a Titan Master like Blurr cause the squarish head seems a bit off) There seems to be a swivel joint on Twinferno's neck so I'm assuming that's how the arm bend works... hoepfully. Triggerhappy's crotch screw is showing... wonder if it's an assembly error ? Guess Breakaway will most likely be the shelfwarmer for this lot...
Nah; Wave 1 of the next year tends to hit in Nov/Dec in the US, in time for Black Friday. Nothing unusual.
Triggerhappy and Doublecross both look great. I'm also delighted that Blowpipe is the first Titan Master in the line to retain his original name.... even though he's supposed to be a Targetmaster. *cough* I think Hot's Rod's design is an improvement over the Classics toy, but I'm really hoping Takara will step in and improve his colours (black boots are a must). I'm still disappointed in Getaway. If nothing else, Hasbro should have remolded him with a spoiler. Given the remolds Takara are doing with Titan Masters, I can only pray they give Getwaway the same refinements.
Is Triggerhappy reusing Highbrow's guns and extending waist trick? His waist looks the wrong way round here.
Double-cross was a way better name but it don't bother me too much. Hell, I never even remember most of the actual names of many of my 3rd party toys and I just call em who they are Megatron, Shockwave, etc....so I'll still call him his proper name. Anyways, so now the Targetmasters are all gonna be headmasters? Or do they not plan on releasing all of them?
I need that Rodimus...and I\'m a bit of a sucker for dragon alt. modes so I\'ll have to pick up Doublecross. ... And one part of me feels that the rodimus mold would\'ve been better for Getaway than chromedome...that\'s just me though
