Uh, the last time someone "found" Trypticon at Ollie's he later admitted he was lying.
Appreciate it man. I live in Tallahassee and this location is over 2 hours away from me otherwise I would have been happy to go back today and check it out again for everyone. I know what it's like to read about a really great deal online but coming up empty. I went to multiple Ross' everyday for a month during the holidays when someone found a Mafex Batfleck figure for $20. Never did find that Batman and probably spent more than the original retail in gas trying to find it I can see being skeptical if I was being vague, but at this point I'm not sure what more proof I could offer.
Man I want one for that price
It's the difference between letting a few people find it on their own naturally, like I did, vs. posting a huge flashing neon sign alerting every collector & scalper in the entire world.
Same with posting in the sightings thread. I never post in the sightings thread because I live in a heavy scalper/ebay/flea market area & I don't want to attract attention. When a lion makes a kill it doesn't advertise it to the hyena's.
What's that 5 digit number above the barcode? I bet that is their sku number. I also think that's a price error because it says original price 29.99
It was probably an input mistake from corporate. Who knows? Like I said though, I purchased a BRAND NEW NES from Blockbuster in the late 90's for $9.99. They never sold those there did they? How or why they had it I'm not sure, but I told the employee that the price didn't seem right. She called her manager at home and asked her. Reply? "If that's what its marked, sell it to him."
My wife was at Target and found the Victorion giftset in the clearance section for $25. She calls me and says, "Do you want me to get it?" I could care less about remolds, but sure. For 25 bucks? why not. I get the thing and there are two clearance stickers under the newest one. I think it went from $75 to $65 to $25 or something like that. Did Target ever get the Victorion at brick and mortar? I think that it was bought online and returned to the store as was speculated by a well known member.
I don't think this dude is trying to pull a fast one, although from previous posts about members doctoring receipts/looking for some notoriety, I can understand both sides. Give him the benefit of the doubt, check his reputation on this website. As my old boss said, "The numbers never lie."
I believe you bro.
Should it have been posted as front page? I don't know, but I would take that standard pricing as a one of. Hard to say.
Respect to our TF community. Done.
Wow I wish I could get trypticon for that price.
Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things if it’s $13 or $30? Regardless it’s an amazing price that I doubt anyone on this site would turn their noses up at. Sadly, unless you’re lucky enough to have Ollie’s in your state you won’t be getting one close to either price.
Is there somewhere to order him cheap online?
An Ollie is what it's called when you make a skateboard jump up in the air, similar to a bunny hop in bmx.
Seriously, no its a east coast thing.
Well, Trypticon was one of the few Titan's I didn't mind paying the retail price for but I'll just wait till PotP's Predaking makes it to Ollie's around this time next year then since Hasbro wants to be cheap in quality anyway....
Geez, I wish we had stores like this. Trypticon is still hovering around NZ$320 over here and knowing our luck, probably all of them have hip problems, so I'd rather buy the Legends version but I never have any money when it's on sale...
Why does the price sticker move between your two photos?
Waiting on "oh there was a whole pile of them and I took a picture of a different one than I bought"
Looks like I’m taking a trip to Indiana tomorrow
No way is that a real price. I don't think the poster here is scamming us, more likely the store was shipped Tripticon by mistake (they were supposed to get voyagers) or they are supposed to have $50 price tags and someone put the wrong tag on.
Remember there was one store that got 2 of that TRU reissue Grimlock for $16.99 when he was new at TRU? I think it was a Ross? Later we compared SKU numbers and it was the Voyager SKU? Also there was a TJ Maxx that got Voyager Blaster when he was new-ish for $7.99 and only one store got him but all the other stores got deluxes.
By all means, check your Ollie's if you have one, but the $12.99 is certainly a mistake.
If we could get back to actual deals that'd be great...
I thought it was a store too
They all have hip problems, it is better to assume...
Luckily fixing is not dificult.
The Legends ones don't, apparently, and the Hasbro version was only meant to be the first batch. Not that I really care for that price since it is fixable.
