17 inches tall? Thats 45cm.. i wonder if theirs leg hinges that would allow some add on kit to get tryp some more height. Spreading that 65cm's more vertical.

More specifically the leg hinges that would allow his legs to drop back and put some boots on an extra 3 inches would be perfect.

24 inch metroplex vs a 20 inch tryp sounds more like it, but i know my decepticon cities are separate from my metro shelf. I just hope when they make scorponok hes as taller than tryp.

All hasbro promo material, not to mention pics we've seen from Takara have him hitting metroplex tat the top of his chest, that about 1.5 inches of difference.

 

His feet are already big, in my opinion some sort of boots would look awful. Instead, if 45cm measurement refers to the way he's posed in the video, maybe straightening his legs could give him another inch. My hope is that by posing his body and legs he could stand between 40 and 50cm.

 

In 2006-2007 we didn't even have a new Trypticon or any proper Gestalt.

Still, the online noises only speak of downsizing and hollow crap.

...I'm grateful for the video but colour me disappointed because Tryticon is still going to look like Metroplex's pet lizard.

At the least, he should be up to Metroplex's chin. From the promo picture, he's going to be up to Metroplex's chest and that's pathetic - he's undersized and hollow. I really don't care for the 'eating titan master' gimmick.

If a 3P company ever makes a bigger Tryticon, it's going to replace this.

I really hope Scorponok is going to be as tall as Fort Mac when they finally get to him.

 

Actually.... i might be more optimistic about this now. I googled this image. The takara comparison shot released few weeks ago.. if you see his knees they are at mid bend and his comes to metros chest as you guys pointed out. 

in this video, tryps knees are all the way bent probably at his shortest setting. So hmm. 17inches for the shortest setting isnt too bad.

Since he's too small to fight Generations Metroplex, how big will Trypticon be next to Maketoys Utopia, anyone have an estimate?
