The paintwork and mixing is great and both modes work very well for this character. However, having owned this mold, I know just how bad it is in terms of articulation. Are you going to mod it further to "fix" this?
Believe it or not there is no paint, it's all just part swaps and I did dye the thigh pieces. I would like to figure out a better waist flap and figure out a way for him to have a targetmaster, but I'm unsure of how to proceed with either task.
So I finally figured out a targetmaster for him to use and a way to mount it, plus a better waist flap, the ont from titans return twinferno works perfectly, just gotta wait for parts to come in, decide if I want to try and dye the orange on peaceman and then might get to work turning the second twinferno into fangry
mild tweak, popped off the waist plate from swerve and gave him a waistplate from titans return twinferno, i think the wider plate looks a bit better
since it still needs its guns to hold the "targetmaster" and needs his "targetmaster" to fire his guns, just leave him with his minicon and it still will work as hs targetmaster partner i always pretended that his double jointed elbows where just one elbow joint and the other the actual ARM but honestly it still need better longer arms -_-
So update time. As far as I'm concerned this guy is now pretty much done. Finally decided on a targetmaster for him, arms micron peaceman, mainly because he is named after the targetmaster for the Japanese version of g1 pointblank. Since pointblank can't properly hold peacemaker on his own this works out very well since he can just mount on one of the guns. I may dye the legs fully black and the upper body red but haven't decided on that yet. Now I just need to figure out a basis for sureshot and I'll have all the autobot targetmasters as customs!!! At least once Orion pax gets released
Nice creative use for an "old mold". It really fits Pointblank. Any future plans for Sureshot and Crosshairs? EDIT: Nevermind, I see that you are working on Sureshot. Have you already done a Crosshairs?
Crosshairs is going to be made this weekend from titans return kup + titans return clobber + arms micron/united pinpointer. The dye should show up tomorrow. Sureshot I'm still undecided on a mold for though unfortunately. The only fitting mold I can think of is thrilling 30 sandstorm but I'd rather a deluxe so it scales better with the rest of them
bumping this since you asked about sureshot awhile back, ended up making him out of two oversized ko foc sideswipes, one red and one yellow. so far he wont be a headmaster like pointblank and crosshairs, but i think he works really well. his targetmaster is mastershooter hustler
Looks great! It kind of looks like the head area is too small for a headmaster, so that seems to work out fine. How goes Crosshairs?
thanks, the idea just kind of came to me yesterday morning. only thing that sucks is his hands are bigger than 5mm so the targetmaster is just kind of sitting there unsecured. as for crosshairs, dyeing kup didnt work out so well, but my titans return orion pax should show up tomorrow, from there itll be a simple matter of ordering the shapeways arms for that mold from knoted in blue and putting clobber on him along with united pinpointer. once all is said and done ill also take a pic of all 6 of my autobot targetmasters
