This mold looks great. Tank has a little FoC vibe to it. Color palette looks nice too.

 

And now the good stuff. Great review and it looks like a great toy. Very surprised that there was not wrist articulation.

I wanted to customize one these without his jet mode.

Looking at the wings I think I can remove them without hampering the transformation.

This mold is suffering mainly on paint detail. A black sharp or dark grey would do wonders.

 

Actually, I think this figure/mold is outstanding.

There's nothing about it that can't be fixed. Rip off the foil labels and apply the inevitable Reprolabel set which will no doubt be awesome.

Personally, I'll be waiting until this mold is Blitzwing....but by no means is this a bad toy.

Hey Peagh, could you take some pictures of Megatron and Optimus with CW Optimus please? I'd like to get an idea of how they size with it.

 

I'll only get this mold if Takara does a better looking version of it with more paint and without the tacky stickers.

 

Hate that the stickers come preapplied, although Megatron will probably suffer less from flaking stickers than Optimus.

Either way, fun mold and I might just buy this one and not the Blitzwing version. The faction and swirl stickers need to go though.

Glad to see TR Megatron scale excellently with Classics 06 Voyager Optimus. I've been wanting a non gun alt mode Megatron to go on my CHU shelf and this works out perfectly for that.

 

Nice review, I wasn't going to get this guy but the video convinced me. I do wish he were more silver like last year's leader, but I'll take what I can get.

 

Can't wait to see what kind of deco Takara will give to that mold (and Optimus).

 

In the past few years the first waves of the following year tend to come out as early as mid to late December. So that being the case, I believe we see these right around Christmas event though they are meant to come out in January.

 

Man, that mold is just perfect for megaton! He looks perfect can not wait. Plane mode is a lot better than I thought it would have been. Shame about the stickers but nothing can be done.

This. This is unfortunately what is keeping me from getting several figures in this line. If he was okay to be transformed with this head in place, I'd pick it up and just glue the head in.
