There was some interest in the Hotshot from my TR Clocker thread so I finished him off and took some pictures.

 

How did you manage to keep the roof yellow?

 

Very well done, I wouldn't have thought of turning the whole figure around.

 

The blue chest is the underside of the car. They added a waist swivel (picture 2) so that the bot mode torso is reversed.

I think that the arms look better this way, too.

Yep, used a piece of sprue to make a waist swivel, also filled in the gap at the back to make the torso. The only problem is that you can't stick a titan master in because it pops the styrene filler out.

To fit the helmet in alt mode requires you to trim the shoulders, it's best to do that with an exacto knife because the plastic is waxy and sawing or filing it doesn't have a nice finish to it.

 

This looks really cool! As a fan of Armada, I think you did an incredible job on this.

mate, this is just the cuteness, his little goofy helmet makes me smile.

 

I drilled a hole in the waist, then cut the waist from the body and glued a piece of sprue into the cut away waist piece.

Voila, waist joint!

 

This is quite snazzy! I love that you took a decent (though not the best) BB, and turned it into a great looking Armada legend ( no pun intended). The only think I don't care for is the face...it feels to squished to me, but that's just a minor nitpick. Great job Bro!
