So Grotesque is great. Twinferno looked ok and I feel like this is a superior figure.

My Scorponok has issues. His joints are scary tough to move. The head has stress marks on top. I opened the figure up to inspect the head ball joint. The head ball joint is diamond shaped.

Got mine today from HTS. He's missing the waist flap. Kinda sucks. Called HTS and they just gave me Hasbro's number since it was open. Basically they don't have replacement parts and they can't exchange it. Overall the figure is pretty bad-ass of a remold. If you can find him for a reasonable price, pick him up.

You're 100% correct...but the details on the shoulders match the G1 figure if you leave them alone for Transformation...and I don't know about you guys but Beast Mode version of the arms don't seem to sit parallel to the body as the shoulder panel (that you open to flip the arm around) interferes....so I think I may go back to my original assumption of leaving the shoulders as-is.

I love this figure. Especially how the head forms in beast mode. Only problem is my tail won’t stay tabbed together.

Just got my Grotusque and Scorponok in today, very nice set!

TR Scorponok on Botcon Scorponok (too small and doesn't peg in without some sort of adapter)

How does Scorponok look on Full Tilt? Anyone have Trypticon and can do a pic?

I'm hoping for Takara releases of this and Arcee, all of the other figs from the line I have are Takara ones, but it's tempting to pick both up anyways.

Don't give up. Mine didn't want to cooperate but with some massaging, I was able to get it to hold together . One of the guys on the RFC Podcast said the same thing....so it may be common.

    Obviously, don't force anything... :D

Wait...what? Can you share a pic if you have a chance? Does it look like a QC failure or was the ball joint designed that way?

I have the diecast Titanmaster heads of Rodiums, Ultra Magnus and now Scorponok...the neck sockets in each of them is scary tight so I just let them look straight ahead.

It looks like a qc issue. It was worse before. I sanded the joint a bit. It helped.

Ugh...we all lose the QC lottery once in a while. Looks like this was your turn.

How is it after your sanding efforts?
