I'm not sure if anyone has done this but I don't like gnaw robot mode. So I seperated the lower part of his legs at is attached to the upper part of his shark head and used the pegs to attach the shark head to his back. He looks much better in my opinion. I just need to glue it and test transformation it should have enough clearance. I'll post after I test it.

No issues standing in both mode.

Another member did this too, it's a good idea but you're left with a curved cut on the outside of the legs.

I understand that the curved space is required so that the toy can still transform but what if you glued some styrene behind the cut so that the leg looks complete?

I'm sure a piece of styrene could be glued in to finish it off.

Welp, further reasons to track this figure down - like it needed any more; but now he can be modded to a more G1-accurate toy!

BTW - great job & thanks for the heads up!

I felt like this was the only thing missing from him...

Too bad you can't cut his face in half anymore.

Nice work! That does help him a bit. Not that he's all that bad to begin with.

Well done sir. Will have to do this once I get ahold of one. Probably do this to one and leave the other alone to differentiate them slightly.

Just curious, what did you use to make the cuts?

I just did mine! It's a definite improvement. Thanks for the inspiration! Also, I noticed a little square tab on the bottom of Gnaw's upper jaw hinge. Trimming it off lets him close his mouth all the way. I'm considering adding a little meat to the inside of his lower leg to fill it out.

Could you fill in his hollow lower legs now to 1) fill out that gap and 2) give him better balance in robot mode?
