I've been wanting to get in on this thread for a few days now, but apparently there was some issues with Photobucket. Anyway, it's good now....so here we go: ---------------------------------------------------------- Here are some of the pre-Reprolabel shots from one I first started fooling around with it: Here's a compilation of some of the various fanmodes I've used with my own FM. *all photos use the knee cannons as large cannons in base mode connected to main tower; gives lots of height* Elevated, with ramps, with Repair Bay doors closed: ...with Grand Archways: Sitting flush on the floor, with ramps, and repair bay doors open: FM's arms are folded underneath himself, so he "sits" on them, securing the tower structure very firmly. Provides ramps when arms are bent downwards: Photo from backside to show the "sitting on hands": ....with extended walkramp: Lastly, and possibly my favorite of them all.... Elevated to provide underground parking garage, ramps in the front, sitting on his hands so it's very, very secure with no wobble, and with repair bay doors opens for LOTS of play options: Reprolabel'ed: Modified with G1 ramps and guns:
Nothing will fully take the sting off of the official mode being crap, but these are REALLY terrific. I didn't know the Repro set included decals for the inside of his shins. Might be my first purchase from them. Well. After I actually get Fort Max.
Hey, I've been playing around with these. Blur "Brick House": I figure this as being like a refueling platform; dudes can land on the top and hang out, or go down into the inside to get fixed up. Scourge "Complex Beta": This is a secondary fortress that guards the rear approaches to the Decepticon base. (Scourge's feet open up into launch ramps.)
Heh, I'm also a big fan of that Hardhead fan mode (did I learn it from your article?). That Sentinel Prime one is pretty rad too.
