I'm hoping this isn't an exclusive anywhere as well.

But, we could do alot worse than BBTS and TRU. If this is a convention exclusive, it'll be even harder and more costly to get. Yes SDCC exclusives end up on HTS but, that's usually a pain.

So if the Fireblast and Intelligence boxsets are nixed, then does that means no Hasbro Godbomber?

Which actually works out in Hasbro's favor... as now Magnus Prime will stay the same size as Overlord

Yeah, I'm hoping we still get Godbomber some way. I like the idea of box sets, but I'd be fine if Hasbro decided that more box sets at lower price points (and perhaps themed/related contents) would be better for everyone. Like a voyager 2-pack of Hero Megatron and Laser Magnus or something similar.

 

I hate to say it but I'm actually kinda glad there seemingly is no more boxsets. They've been a huge hassle to get a hold of and I don't wanna go through all of that again. It sucks for those who wanted a Godbomber for sure tho, luckily I have a Takara one.

 

This hasn't confirmed the ending of the boxsets so I don't know why everyone is going crazy about it.

I assume had these been released as regular clones 2 packs they would have been incredibly popular right?? Wonder why Hasbro seems to have missed that opportunity??

Doubt this means the end of the box sets when the first 2 sold out immediately. Be a pretty dumb business move.

 

Takara is our only hope to get both clone duos now..

 

The box sets did not have enough appeal for me to commit to them, but I will happily buy sets of the clones. It makes sense honestly to sell them as 2 packs, probably at Voyager pricing since they are supposedly larger than Legends class. Hopefully they will be easily available for both pairs so those of us who didn't get the box sets don't have to miss out on the twins.

 

They aren't larger than legends and have no more parts than a legends either

 

The problem is that they're likely exclusives somewhere (SDCC or Hascon) since they don't fit any of the standard assortments.

Also I wouldn't hold your breath on the other two being released as a two pack. Your best hope is TT.

 

The "larger than Legends" bit is one of those undying myths that were started by some random dude and will keep being floated around for the rest of eternity.

 

Agreed. I'm not sure how anyone made the gigantic leap to arrive at this conclusion. Maybe they missed out on the first two sets so they hope by 'poo-pooing' the remaining two it will lower the interest (aftermarket value) of the previous two??

 

Because they helped two $100 boxsets sell out?
