God I can't wait for him. The "flight deck" on Alpha Trion's starship mode is getting crowded.

 

Gawdammit. I still haven't found voyager Optimus and Megatron

 

Frustrating. The US is a retail wasteland.

 

Same. They haven't even been released in the US good think I've secured a preorder on BBTS.
Anyone else want to bet that they'll skip those two and go straight for Broadside?

 

Has anybody shown the back of the box so we can finally figure out who his Voyager co-sell is?

It is super strange that Canada has better distribution then the States, as traditionally it's the opposite.

 

That is simultaneously great and awful. Because odds are he *won't* be in any other waves. So easy to find, might pile up, but then vanish and never come back.

 

I doubt he's got enough name appeal to sell out immediately when there's been plenty of Astrotrain AND Alpha Trion to go around.

 

Hey, if you get a chance can you show us any other possible way to transform his jet mode so it doesn't look terrible?

 

I was messing around with it tonight, and unfortunately there aren't a ton of options. I did swap the tailfins so they face the correct way though.

 

Wow, that was the best that could be done, eh?

That jet mode is just... wow. Garbage.

Otherwise, he's pretty cool.

I'm trying to think of it as more of a space vessel/fighter and it seems more plausible. If he's supposed to be an aircraft carrier, then his "jet" mode makes more sense to me as a space ship. I guess ignore the "giant" robot in the cockpit(bridge?).

 

Unfortunately, there's a lot of stuff like that we just have to ignore with these new figures. Hasbro just keeps getting better and getting worse at the same time. It's a very weird path of development.

Which is nothing new for Transformers. Broadside has always been kind of absurd, and I like the look of the figure. That "jet thing" (even as a spaceship) is just sad though...

The jet mode is truly awful.

To think people complained so much about Generations Blitzwing to the point where Hasbro are already giving us a new one.

How hard would it have been to give the legs more options to be folded up? The original G1 toys is better at the compromise between ship and plane for Heaven's sake.

Outside of the Legends class- this is the worst Generarions deluxe and above scale mold for quite some time.

 

I do like his little airplanes, though.
