It was mentioned back on August 16th in DC Nation #22... don't know if anyone reads those or not. I just found out about the lineup myself.... Titans East is being formed by Deathstroke and will consist of: Batgirl Jokers Daughter Lil Barda Sun Girl Kid Crusader (previously named Choir Boy... as in DC Nation #22) Inertia Risk Match More images will be added as they are released. Also in Wizard #180 (available August 30), we find out why Deathstroke chose them.
So, Batman has a son and Joker has a daughter...? Sounds like it's time for another crisis. But, in any case, wasn't Deathstroke a villian before/during Infinite Crisis...? I mean, I know Nightwing had some going-ons with him and his daughter, but why did he suddenly decide to change sides? EDIT: Nevermind, I just read the "Deathstroke's form of revenge" line in the link provided...so, these will all be bad guys? An "Anti-Titans"? Cool.
There was an old graphic novel out called "Batman: Son of the Demon." where he marries Talia, with Ras a Ghul's concent, and gets her pregnant. But she lies to him and tells him she lost the baby, because she knows he wont be the same if he has someone to worry about. She does give birth to a baby boy, but as far as I knew this was never considered offical cannon in the DC universe. BTW Frozen....check out the new Sig EDIT: I wonder if the New Terra will play a role in this some how? Saw the artwork for the new mini series...meow! Me likey!
Joker's Daughter has been around for decades, she just spent a lot of time in limbo. She's not actually the Joker's daughter, she just likes to claim that various members of Batman's rogues gallery are her parents. Last I knew, her real father is Harvey Dent. So far, Match is the one that has me most interested. Cassie is really not going to take well to him. I'd still like to know why DC decided to make Batgirl evil. I don't know the character very well, but I do know this is really wrong for her. Amanda Conners is doing the art for that. Of course it's amazing.
They appear in Teen Titans #42... not sure if they get their own series. Match is a clone of Superboy. There was an organization called the Agenda that attempted to capture Superboy and use his DNA to create a clone army. He was last seen in "Joker's Last Laugh". Yay 2,000 posts!
Awesome sig. And, check out the current Morrison/Kubert issues of Batman for the whole story on Bruce's newfound fatherhood. His son is acting like a little bit of a brat right now, though.
No, it was Risk, a former member of the Titans. Damage was with the Freedom Fighters, and was one of the few survivors of their slaughter at the hands of the Society in Infinite Crisis #1. He'll be joining the JSA when it relaunches later this year. First OYL arc of Robin. And yes, yes it is. Lots of her fans are extremely pissed right now.
Not so surprising when seeing what's going on in Birds of Prey. A Red Headed Batgirl has now appeared in Gotham. And it was confirmed by Shiva herself in BOP that Cassie is her daughter. The Apple doesnt fall far from the tree
It was also confirmed in Batgirl that Shiva was Cass' mother. Right before they did that whole final issue complete character turnaround thing I wasn't happy about way back when. I like change and evolution of characters, so long as it makes sense, and isn't just for the sake of change or a WTF? moment. But considering some 60-70 issues of Batgirl were about her not following the road her father trained her for, to watch her turn from the ideal she'd been following and go down her father's (and I guess her mother's) path after plonking down a couple of hundred $$ for the series from day one... ugh. It left a bitter taste in my mouth. Now that I've got some handle on which Robin issues she appeared in, I'm going to have to see if I can get them though... I'm such a comics whore
I'm not reading Birds of Prey or Robin because most of DC OYL has been garbage (and this proves it) but isn't the redheaded Batgirl really Batwoman from 52? Or is this someone else as well?
At the end of Batgirl's series, things happened involving a Lazaras Pit. Perhaps it did something to her mind? I'm actually finding her a bit more interesting as a villain I have to say.
In the end DC will probably do one of two things. 1: Mind control of some sort. 2: It's not actually her. I just get that feeling from it.
Yeah, I was pissed when they "killed her off" then made her go bad. As my friend put it "DC is shitting on everything batgirl was during most of her comic series"
