Are we supposed to get a Titanium War Within Skywarp? Any ideas? I want to complete my set.
A Skywarp has been announced. I hope he isn't a TWW toy as the mold has already been used three times. Skywarp deserves a new mold.
He is on the list of announced figures. I don't believe we have seen an image of him yet, though. I guess technically it hasn't been 100% confirmed (as far as I know) that he is the War Within design..... but it seems extremely likely. It would be mildly crazy to do him any other way.
Yup, he's on the way... I'm personally hoping for the WWI mold... all four of the seekers will look sweet together.
Agreed. It is good to complete the set anyway.
Why would Skywarp deserve a new mold? Has he ever had a new mold?
In Armada, he did.....
He had a remold.
In the war within comic all 3 seakers had diffrent designs and transformations.
I also agree. There's a perverse pleasure in having the three original seekers as repaints. It's really one of the few times that I think most TF fans are willing to accept repaints.
I want Skywarp and I want the WW mold. I'm not bothering with stupid Mary Sue Sunstorm, but it'll be nice to have the originals together again.
Now if only I can find a damn Classics Starscream to customize into Thundercracker... they've suddenly gotten scarce, and thanks to stupid Botcon 2007 exclusives, we now know not to expect one from Habro. Bleah.
Drives me crazy how they seem to enjoy leaving the original seeker trio unfinished.
Well, there was the remold in Armada, a repaint of BM Jetstorm in Universe, and a *shudder* bright purple repaint of Thundercracker in Cybertron... the eagle from the Japanese Magnaboss...
Technically, wouldn't the Machine Wars Skywarp count as a new mold for Skywarp? Not that it really matters for the purpose of this thread, though.
Agreed again. My fave is Skywarp, and to have him in a different mold would just look out of place. I hope he's the WW, as well.
Didn't he share that mold with Thundercracker and Dirge (from BW2)?
He did indeed... MW Thundercracker and MW Skywarp came out simultaneously, and BW2 Dirge a year later, if I remember correctly. So if you wanted to get really technical, it was a new mold for MW S&T.
Looks like poor Skywarp's never had a mold to call entirely his own, though.
Not unless you count Armada Skywarp where he was slightly remolded and given a big fin on his head.
I don't have my War Within comics anymore (someone borrowed them and never gave them back) but I remember that Don designed all three to have some unique features such as the wing shape.
However, I feel Hasbro is completely justified in making Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp out of the same mold.
I agree. As long as we get him that is all that matters.
Doesn't really count as far as I'm concerned, its just a remold. That's like saying the G1 coneheads have their own molds, which they don't...
And the fin wasn't BIG, it was perfectly in proportion! XD
I've got the other 3 seeker molds that've been released, and I'm eagerly awaiting my 6" Skywarp, whenever I get him. And judging from the list of the 3"ers we got (if Hasbro does indeed continue the line, its pretty much disappeared as of late) we will also get a repaint of 3" Starscream/Thundercracker as good ol' Warpy. So hey, that's two full sets of Seekers+one Sunstorm.
