I've just had my titanium 6" soundwave delivered, and he's nowhere near as good as my ultra magnus. One of his feet won't go all the way back, and one leg' so loose he won't stand. are they all like this or should I send mine back?

    :mad

    Cheers

Best left MISB sadly, which is how I feel about most of the Titaniums

Titanium series are a mixed bag, some suck, others are pretty damn good.

    G1 Magnus
    WW Thundercracker/Starscream/Sunstorm
    G1 Rodimus Prime
    RiD Prime
    The Fallen
    BM Cheetor

Those all seem to get decent reviews more often than not.

    G.I Joe Megatron
    G1 Soundwave

Those both seem to be the worst.

Titaniums started badly, one terrible figure and one with an amazing design, ruined by die-cast and loose joints.
    Things seemed to change wave-to-wave.

Most of the time, there is 1 decent to 1 crappy figure per wave.
Sadly, the line fizzled out before it was completed.

I highly doubt we'll ever see WW Grimlock + Prowl, Primal Prime or G1 Soundblaster. Nevermind, great idea, badly executed.
End of the day, dont waste die-cast on small figures, you just ruin them.

    EDIT:
Im not certain they are cancelled, but given the silence about them,I would assume so. As even Don wasnt told what was happening with them. Shame, two awesome looking toys aswell.

Damnit, that Prowl and Thundercracker were the only ones that were keeping me interested... I thought they were going to release Grimlock and Prowl and that was it?

The lack of news or prototypes on Ebay suggests otherwise.
We saw packaged samples of Primal Prime and Soundblaster with Ravage at Botcon. My guess is Hasbro just decided it wasnt worth it.

Mines not bad at all. Beyond listing to port a little in robot mode becaue his right leg doesn't want to extend all the way. But that's nothing major.

I'm sure I've seen Primal Optimus somewhere online.....

Yeah I'm not keen on my SW. Managed to get him to stand, so it's not too bad. My Ultra Magnus is ace. Reckon Rodimus Prime will be next.....

I personally hate G1 Magnus and regret buying him, but hey, everyone's opinion will differ

Rodimus is one of the best of the line. I also recommend the Fallen. The best two in the line IMO.

The best thing about Titanium SW is the little Lazerbeak he comes with, but even that is nothing to write home about. SW is a classic 50/50 figure. Waist-up is actually done really well. Waist-down is pretty much the most poorly designed thing I've ever seen. Kinda like peeling a banana and finding half of it's a turd.

Honestly, I think that Titanium's are not meant to be taken out of the box and to be played with. And if you do, please don't expect anything good cause I think you can already see it from outside the box. Mostly all these figures have their better versions out there obviously, the only Titanium I have is SoundWave and I just display him with the box, he looks happy. :)

    Hmm.

This was the first one I bought, so I really had no titaniums to compare it to.

I wouldn't say it's complete shit, but it's probabily not the best TF you'll find.

On the note of Titaniums, I reccomend Menasor/Hotrod, RID Prime, and WW Magnus. Magnus looks cool on display in bot mode if you post him right.

Also, I'd say the Titaniums are really for display rather than playing.

I liked the 6" TI line for the most part, but there were a couple bad molds, most of which is easily Soundwave. One thing though, is that they never sat on shelves (well, there was a time when there were several places with GI Joe Megs) but they usually sold well. The thing is, I saw plenty of star wars and Marvel Titaniums causing shelves to get 3rd degree burns from warming them so much, so it's just surprising that the one series of Titaniums that was cancelled happne to be the one that sold the best (from what I can tell).
