Does anyone know if those 2 inch titanium Rodimus and Thundercracker are the newest wave since the Predaking, Grimlock and Scorponok were released last fall? I found those figures at a Tucson Target store and don't recall if they were released before.

they are the newest 3" inch wave released. There actually might be another one that was after it with Galvatron.

Thank you for the reply. I wasn't too sure, since I haven't seen any news on its release in retail.

From what I saw, Galvatron is in the mix with Hot Rod. Not necessarily with thundercracker though.

I believe the "other one" was battle damaged G1 Optimus Prime.

Actually, I think that Rodimus and Thundy came before the Predaking/Grimlock series and the Galvy/BD Prime is the newest wave.

Nope, Predaking/Grimlock was before Roddy/TC. My store got a case that was fully half each Rodimus and Thundercracker, and that was our last restock of it. I'm pretty sure Galvatron was out before TC, but I don't know the wave listings.

I ordered these of BBTS and stupidly did not have my pile of loot on, and this is how I got them:

    Predaking/Grimlock/Scorponok

    Battle Damaged Optimus Prime/Galvatron

    Rodimus/Thundercracker

    next pre-orders up:
    Sunstreaker/Cliffjumper

I think it's the same in the stores, too based on what I've seen, but I'm not POSITIVE

If this has been discussed before, I can't find the thread and I give up.

Does anyone know why the @#$% Hasbro put Hot Rod's bio on the 3-inch Titanium Rodimus? Is it because they no longer have rights to "Hot Rod"?

Because the 3" Rodimus is Hot Rod and yes Hasbro no longer has the rights to the name. I believe the gun he is holding is his Target Master gun.

Battle Damaged Optimus Prime and Galvatron are the newest wave. Rodimus and Thundercracker were released just before them. I had to look back at a post I made on 11-03-06 to make sure. If you want to view that post it is here.

Edit: Here is the writeup Super Megatron did on that post I was talking about. He listed Rodimus and Thundercracker as wave 6 and Galvatron and Prime as wave 7. You can view it here.

That's what I hate about Rodimus nowadays.....Never know if he is supposed to Rodimus Prime or Hot Rod.

The alt mode should make is pretty obvious. Car is Hot Rod, truck is Prime. 6" is Prime of course, 3" is more of a Hot Rod vibe going.

Hasbro lost the name Hot Rod to a hot wheels car I think.
