Hello, folks. I registered just to ask this simple question, because I can't locate any information on it.

I found a 3" Titanium Bumblebee at Wal*Mart, except that it wasn't Bumblebee. Or, it might be some obscure version of Bumblebee in a Japanese series, I dunno. Anyway, he actually looks like an insect, and the figure doesn't seem to have a stand. There's an Autobot symbol, but it looks like it's just a thin piece of paper, and it is red and black. If by some chance I have stumbled upon something no one here has already heard about, I can take a picture.

So, does anyone know if this is like a chase figure, packaging mistake, or something else? I'm keeping it sealed until I have a decent idea of what it even is. Thanks in advance.

Me thinks you got gypped. Likely someone bought the Bumblebee earlier, took it out, than put in another toy, put an Autobot symbol on it, resealed the package, and then took it back to Wal-mart to get their money back.

Who would go through all of that effort for five bucks?

Anyway, it has a weapon and everything. It looks legitimate to me, but then again, I don't really know, hence the thread. :)

    You'd be suprised.

Either way it's definetly not some sort of rare or chase figure.

Hm. Well, I'm curious enough to post pictures, which will probably occur tomorrow.

The thing is, I know I've seen this little guy somewhere before, but I can't place it.

Ya I think a pic would solve the mystery. Could it be a Star Wars Titanium by chance?

Yow. You'd have to be a full-on ****** to try and replace a $3 Bumblebee figure. That would be like buying a red 25 cents lollipop and replacing it with a black one.

... Wow. That's exactly what it is.

I am absolutely astounded at the fact that so much effort went into a five dollar item. Guess that's it, then. I am amazed.

I saw the same thing with a Titanium Sideswipe at Walmart today. I have seen it happen with bigger and more expensive figures in the past at the same Walmart and informed management, only to have them put the fake back out on the floor after I leave. I don't tell them anymore.

    I have one question...

How the fuck does somebody get a 3" Titanium out of the package to pull a switcheroo, without mangling the package so much that not even the dingus behind the service counter at WM goes :peoples: ?

I remember hearing about people doing that with ROTS figs and replacing them with stormtrooopers and such last year, I can't say that I"m surprised about this.
