Somewhere in the Transformers Franchise Bible there is a rule that states "Every series must include a Prowl." At first, it seemed that the Metal Cybertron Heroes line would prove to be an exception to this rule; the ill-fated Titanium branch was abruptly shut down before Prowl could join its ranks.

    Or so it seemed!

Hasbro, continuing to surprise & delight the fans, managed to create and supply a 6" Titanium Prowl as the (arguably) very last mold in the series.

Titanium Prowl is based on the characters' War Within incarnation, so his Vehicle Mode is a Cybertronian hovercraft. I believe I have it transformed correctly; the directions are somewhat unclear. If anyone wants to correct me, feel free.

Likewise, Prowl's Robot Mode is a bit difficult to figure out at first. I believe I have transformed him correctly (unlike the initial photos showing off this mold) but I'm not yet 100% positive.

Articulation is passable and the overall design of the toy is very solid.

Prowl's a very good toy by Titanium standards but would probably only be considered "sub-par" in any other line. A decent amount of articulation backed up by an appropriate proportion of metal to plastic.

And with that, we say goodbye to Transformers: Titanium. So long, and thanks for all the WWI!

Face doesn't look that great up close and I wonder if the missile launchers can be placed better. Guess I'll find out when I get him, hopefully sooner rather than later. Thanks for the quick overview!

Meh, bot mode's chest is disproportionately wide and the face looks poorly defined.

    Unimpressed.

I'm committed to getting Prowl, because he's a damn War Within toy, but he could use three things:
    a handheld weapon
missiles that rest on the shoulders better
    a Figueroa chinstrap.

    Also wondering about the articulation.

Got this from TRU yesterday. One of the better 6 inchers. Paint job is super and I think it has repaint potential.

It is not a half bad figure. In terms of transforming him, it is relatively easy but pieces do like to come off from robot to alt mode. However, it appears that goes the same with all of the Titanium figures. The launchers and wings can be slightly lower than what is pictured but that is about it. The articulation on mine is pretty good. As for repaints, I do not entirely how it could be done. If they wanted to get a Bluestreak out of the mold, it would be remolded particularly with the wings if they wanted to developed a War Within figure out of him.

    Things that are lacking:
    1) a handheld weapon but the hands do not move or have a place for a weapon
    2) the wings/launchers could be lowered.

I want this figure to go with WW Prime, but does anyone know if this is likely to hit the UK?

If it does make it to UK, it would most likely be at TRU (guessing that there are same way as in the States).

Hmm, I don't have one local (80 mile round trip) but I'll keep my eyes peeled. Thanks for the reply ^^

Would cost me $60 at least to import one through Ebay 0.0

chances are slim to none at all, the only retailer which took on titanium, besides import shops, was argos. i believe there was another TRU exclusive, the war within 2 pack which had prime and megatron, and that certainly did not reach any stores here. still they might suprise us yet....

Hmm, may have to keep an eye on Forbidden Planet then. I'm not crazy on the mold to be honest, but it'd be nice to get one anyway as a last hurrah to the Titanium series - I love the Magnus and Prime figures (no QC issues with mine at least).

But thanks for the help ^^

This figure looks way better in person than in pics. The paint job is gorgeous. He holds together well in both modes. His hovercraft looks so slick and it's nice to have a true Cybertron-mode Prowl toy! I like him a lot better than I thought I would before i opened him. Just needs holes in his fists (why did they omit this?) and a hand gun. Here's a high res pic:

I found Grimlock and Prowl today, and I have to say I absolutely HATE Prowl's bot mode. His shoulders are just too wide, I mean I checked out the pics from different reviews but I still didn't expect them to be that wide. As of right now, I may return it but I'll give him a few days before I make a decision

You just saved me a ton of gas money and $17. Those shoulders had me on the fence for months... The alt mode looks spectacular, but how can you eff up PROWL of all bots??
