    Hey hey,

was just window shopping on ebay and came across this auciton:

    Titanium 6" KO's

With the actual Titanium 6" line coming to a close, looks like the KO's will be its new life.

    Mr K

Note: I have posted this in the Ebay thread as well so if this doesn't classify as news please delete - thanks :)

Unless the knockoffers somehow get their hands on the unmade prototypes, I doubt we'll get anything more than we've already gotten, and maybe some repaints of same.

any word if these are plastic or metal? i'm guessing plastic.

i wouldnt mind getting an oversized miscoloured titanium 6inch "Orptimus Prine" in plastic

and if they're cheap enough, i could possibly repaint a KO of the fallen into an infiltration/stormbringer megatron

Looks like they couldn't figure a way to attach the nosecone like it is on the real figure..... notice how it's packed separately, off to the side? Somehow that doesn't bode well for the quality.

From the package art, looks like they'll also be making a KO Astrotrain. It doesn't look much different than the real thing, being white and all.... but it might be mildly interesting if it has been upsized like the Titaniums.

The 6" Tit. KO looks interesting. Wonder if the cockpit piece can be attached so it doesn't need to be removed. That's a really cool gun, too, but I don't see any fist holes.

I actually dig the KO Astrotrain deco MORE than the classics deco.

I bet the Ko's arms don't fall off when you look at him.
    Unlike My classic astrotrain.

And it looks like astrotrain's legs have zero articulation.

my astrotrains arms have NEVER fallen off once... i don't get it?

don't know, never liked knock offs.

though they are good for repainting/kitbashing, i guess.

Dammit. I'm such a sucker for these things... but I got some KO's from this same seller a while back that I LOVE (the oversize Robotmaster figures), so sometimes KOs can surprise and impress.

Decent quality oversized KO Classics Seekers! C'mon... that's what I REALLY want!! :)

Hmmmm... still, for KOs, the prices are a bit steep. Maybe I can find them cheaper in a local Chinatown or something.

Wow, yeah, look at that! Oversized. That's tempting, as that is pretty much the size I wished the original Astrotrain had been.

I almost bought that sucker just now, willing to take a chance on the quality being terrible. But you know what changed my mind? Looking carefully at it, it looks like in the upsizing/knockoff process, it lost some articulation. One of the great things about Classics Astrotrain is that his legs can rotate at the knee, giving him much more appealing poses. In the KO, it looks like the upper leg is one solid beam that just slides into the leg, with no rotation built in. The legs also lack the inner covering, so you can see all the workings within.

So, phew, that was a close one! Still, if I see him in Chinatown, I may give in.

EDIT: Whoops, just noticed earlier poster The Asp already mentioned the lack of leg articulation on Astrotrain.

Sweet. I have a good kitbash idea for the blue one, but only if I could get ahold of one, lol.

I have the KO Astrotrain. His legs did lose the articulation, his upper arms on on the wrong sides so you'll have to pop them off and change them, and his insanely floppy. I plan to try and fix him up and repaint him more G1 like and have him with my Classics.
This is hte size Atrain should have been. I just wish there were an oversized Grimlock now.

I wanted Skywarp to complete my Titanium Seeker trio. And I wanted Thundercracker to complete my Classics seeker trio.

But that was asking too much.

Maybe that blue-purple KO seeker can be Skywarp? He looks the closest to his colors.
