Yeah, for me, Sixshot Topspin, Perceptor, and Legends Brawn would have me set until Wave 5 hits.

So I spent part of my evening at work with my feet up on my desk, messing with the wave 4 deluxes that I've been wanting for months (^ got mine from Captured Prey too). They certainly don't disappoint, especially Topspin. The guy that is in charge of this line of TFs deserves a damn award. I'm not kidding, these are without a doubt the best executed figures to come out of Hasbro in years. Excellent engineering, impressive articulation, unexpectedly great paint apps and a really cool gimmick. I couldn't be more pleased and I can't wait for the next wave to be released and whoever is in charge over there making these figures seriously needs some recognition.

Totally agree. They're just... FUN. I might be biased because I was the right age when Headmasters came out to love them and not have a lot of the anti-headmaster vibe many had (and still have... which is fine, not knocking opposition to non-HMs being made into HMs, I totally get it,) but what can I say... they're just FUN.

They have great molded details, they're like Micromachines meets Transformers + a headmaster gimmick lol. It's just fun! And they're everything I wanted Classics/CHUG to be originally... TRULY evocative of the G1 toy, in both modes, while still being clearly distinct and not slavish.

    I love it.

So I got my Perceptor and Kup from Toywiz yesterday and a thought occured to me: What are the chances these two get molded later, maybe as an exclusive or a box set, into Deluxe Megatron and Kup.

Perceptor has his hidden tank mode and with enough ports on his arms they could easily change the microscope barrel into a cannon. And Kup would work real well for Orion Pax.

Nay. Optimus' jet mode may be ugly but it's fun.

Personally I'd say Triggerhappy, but Topspin is a very close second. As with Triggerhappy, Topspin's transformation is just fun and both bot and alt modes are incredible.

Triggerhappy still stands as the best deluxe in the line for me.

    All the best

I echo your guy's sentiments. I enjoyed TF's as a kid from 84 when they debuted through 88 when my mom made me give mine a way to a kid down the street from me (who I didn't like all that well). I dug a lot of the various gimmicks that came out back then (combiners, headmasters, targetmasters, powermasters). So the gimmick of the combiner wars and titan returns lines don't bother me at all. Especially when we get the main combiners we all wanted in our classics collections and the headmasters we all wanted in our collections too. And titans return even cranks out stuff we never thought we would get the jumpstarters and soon to arrive stuff like Overlord. And yes I would agree that the figures getting updated and coming out quite nice too.

Placed my order for Sky Shadow and Soundwave (Can't believe it took me this long to bite), so I just need wave 4 deluxes and a few titan masters left to be caught up.

Plus, I need Fort Max...if anyone has one cheap to sell, message me. ;)

Krok has been added to the Decepticon shelf.

I'm still on the lookout for Quake, Broadside, Brawn, Six-shot, and Topspin. There may be hunting today.

Hopefully the new Titans Return figures come here to Germany soon, they are hard to find, ordered some from the UK, but it's relatively expensive.
The new Quake Looks so nice, I still have the old G1 from my childhood. A little retooling for the tank mode, making it look more like a battle tank, would have been nice.
