Four Toys R Us', One Target, and One Walmart later... Yep from my perspective Titans Return Wave 3 Deluxes HAVE NOT come to Ohio for Christmas this year.   

Going out of state Friday for a few hours, going to check the one Toys R Us and Walmart I'll be passing AND THAT IS IT. Seriously, I won't have another chance till next year and by then I'll just give up and wait for Toysrus.com to get them cause obviously Hasbrotoyshop.com will not be getting them anytime soon, they are way to slow at getting new stuff in.

 

I got Astrotrain at Walmart! X3 He is awesome but I'm not allowed to have him till Christmas.

 

I recently got Alpha Trion on sale. What the hell is with the hair trigger spring loaded crap and the never stays down unless you fight with it twenty times gimmicky extra helmet parts? Couldn't they have ditched the spring-loaded auto-morph idea for these things and stick with fold out add-ons or something? It is a pain and a half to remove his head for transformation because the Unicron horns keep getting in the damn way. Only weak spot on the figure, but a real downer.

 

So PE had on their facebook page an upgrade set for Legends PM Prime, which included thigh gap fillers, Ginrai himself, and an LED lit head... just saw it today right after seeing the announcement of Godbomber. Wish I had bit on him when HLJ had him in stock - oh well, guess I'll have to hunt one down. Wondering now if Hasbro will end up doing Godbomber as well.

 

Yep, obviously got mine today and the spring-load gimmick is really weak - almost insulting in that you can even see the mechanism and how poorly it is designed when you detach the hips. There simply isn't any catch on the trigger to lock the horns down.

On the plus side, they don't really impact the ship mode, and due to the way the cockpit kibble locks down if you do it properly the horns aren't strong enough to break the tabs.

 

I just hope they fix something for the Broadside version or use less powerful springs or something. I mean at least Broadside has shorter horns so they don't get in the way for detaching the head. And at least once you push them in and they 'lock' they don't pop up again unless you accidentally hit the circle button on his chest.

 

Holy crap!! I had no idea that was happening. I wonder where Ginrai fits on. That is awesome news.

 

There is a way to get it to lock into place. I thought I had one that was broken until I noticed something later that same day.

Underneath the chest, there is this little hole that has a piece of orange plastic in the way.



When you're pushing down on the horns and trying to get them to lock into place, the little orange piece gets in the way preventing the horns from locking into place.



But, when you hold down the button on Alpha Trion's chest, the orange piece moves out of the way.




So all you have to do is hold down the orange button while you're pushing down on the horns. Just make sure you're holding down on the button all the way and making sure that the horns go all the way down as far as they can and then you'll hear a click that locks them into place.

 

Any advice for when your Croco Stimpy attacks?

 

That was the point of the Marvel comics, the point of IDW comics is to tell indy style stories with decent writers, proper story arcs like you know any modern cable tv show etc- based on licensed properties that are not shit (as opposed to all the shitty licensed comics over the decades that are literally just commercials for other stuff, with no real stories to speak of).

I like both companies lots of TF comic, I'm not knocking either.
