Hey, how are my fellow Master Maestros doing? I bet real good, unless I missed something from when I was just browsing some threads in the past couple of days.

Between the onset of POTP reveals and getting the Siege boxset this week, I felt I needed to take a bit of a Transformers sabbatical to take my mind off of transforming robots and process my thoughts (and also put some non-TF stuff on the shelves, bless those Slizers). The "Enigma" thing with the voyagers is what truly excites me because I can stick Clobber inside of Grimlock's mouth or have an Optimus Prime face ride inside his girlfriend/leader of Carcer (if the leaked slides from way back when are anything to go by). I know, getting excited about slapping faces on toys, but it's the truth from me.

Onto physical toys, I'm rolling in a bit late with this but I'm liking Siege more than Chaos, and Chaos on Velocitron, I thought, was really damn good. It comes with the caveat that I now have, within the span of a year, 5 Optimus Primes/Prime derivatives (not including The Rod, but including Magnus Prime), but I reckon that's just how it is for the franchise.


Tidal Wave, I feel, could serve as the substitute member for when Octane's too busy chumming it up with an Autobot or off doing fuel runs. He almost fits in with the Triple Takeover duo, with orange instead of yellow. This is more serving as a reminder that I should probably get an Octane, though.


Pounce was the one I was really looking forward to. I already liked Fastlane, but Transformers cats have just been so good lately. Could've used some extra color like the G1 iteration, but Takara just announced their LG rendition and those look amazing.


The Thunderwing Titan Master is fairly meh on his lonesome, but he really serves as a companion piece to anything. Funny how he and Ultra Magnus share the same mold (Fangry) and Thunderwing's robot head looks like Magnus' face.


Metalhawk though is just  , I looove this. Ever since we started seeing the first in-hand photos of this set, I fell in love with the crappy butterscotch-looking gold torso. And that faceplate, with how deeply set his face is within the golden helmet, looks so slick. I seriously can't wait to pair him up with his Prime Master version.


If I wasn't set on using the movie-style Nitro Zeus for Thunderwing (mostly for that off-aesthetic to simulate Stormbringer-style organic Pretender), I think Triggerhappy could still work as a substitute.


Really excited about TF stuff in the future, from the rest of Wave 5 and Slugslinger to pick up, maybe Trypticon if I still want it, and Prime Masters, among other things. Here's to more little dudes and whether other people will be sticking on Enigmas and Matrix cores like a Functionist Dominus blockhead.

Also, Voyager Megatron and Blitzwing, still love that mold. Takara's G2 Megatron doesn't help matters.

 

Maybe the pic was taken the exact moment before the three of them transformed and sped away... then Trypticon transformed into battle station/nemesis shuttle mode and sped after them!  

 

For a loooong time I wanted to see that Tidal Wave alongside the other Decepticon triple changers.

Hey guys, it's happening... I was too late to get Quake.

 

Random question for everyone. Barring Cogman and Nitro who are already halfway there, what Movieverse character would you have included in Titans Return for a Headmastered, ultra-G1 figure?

Personally, any of the Dreads, mostly to see how they'd incorporate the dreadlock aesthetic with headmasters in the redesigns.

Well, it's just me ha. I saw lots of pictures of Quake but I was unsure about getting him. I even watched reviews and I knew he looked good overall. The only problem was I just didn't whether or not I wanted to buy him because I was saving all my money in hopes of finding toys that I would rather much need in my collection than just a repaint. Turns out I never had any luck finding them so basically I just wasted all my chances at getting Quake.

 

I really hope PotP is as inventive as TR with their repaints. Just look at these swines!

 

If I were running things at Hasbro I would have made all of the TLK toys Titan Masters.

 

(seriously tho', I'm sad, you need one. TR App team assemble and hunt one for this lad)

This is beautiful. Especially Misfire holding a trident.

 

Shame they couldn't use the more extensive remolding Arcee has on Nautica. More feminine arms and a new front piece would have done wonders.

Haha, thanks. If you couldn't tell, I prefer taking images of the smaller guys, but I actually enjoyed doing the Prime congregation photo. Orion is a lovely release, and aside from the lack of blue hands/fingers, I think his deco is more complete than Kup's.

Metalhawk is a possible contender for Quake's pedestal in terms of "scowling redeco", and from some angles the scowl looks like he's gritting his teeth. I hope you can get ahold of him someday, I think he's deserving of any praise he gets.

He sure seems to. I know I actualy love Kup (and can't wait the LG one), so this deco is a very good surprise. I'll get back at you in due time!
