We first heard about Titan Master versions of Optimus Prime and "Toraizer" almost a year ago thanks to a listing from Toys"R"Us.

Based on the numbers, it seems Hasbro initially intended for them to be released in the same wave as Ramhorn, but then Ramhorn was released in a wave with nothing but re-releases of existing figures.

I can't say for sure if they will still happen, but I did just find listings at Amazon Germany that reveal it's supposed to be Optimus Primal, not Prime.

Hasbro C2389ES1 Generations Titan Master Optimus Primal Solid
Hasbro C2390ES1 Generations Titan Master Toraizer Solid

Mmm! I hope this is true! It would make sense. Optimus Primal won the Prime vote. And they've already done Toraizer's buddies Shuffler and Lione. Might as well round of the 3 beast Headmaster Warriors. Next would be to do their friends Kirk Rodney and Loafer.

Given what we already have available, I wonder if Optimus Primal would just be a known Prime head with a repainted Apeface Titanmaster vehicle.

Interesting! I'll ask my source if the listing has changed yet but that makes sense.. they will probably give us the Primal head and apex armor shell from the Bat Prime figure

I refer the honourable Gentleman to the Legends sections of his own list as UPC/EAN barcode list for modern Transformers toys

Autobot Stripes: Hasbro product code # B5610, UPC # 630509385683
    Wreck-Gar: Hasbro product code # B5611, UPC # 630509385676
Autobot Rewind: Hasbro product code # B5612, UPC # 630509385669

    Laserbeak: Hasbro product code # B7585, UPC # 630509463725

Waves by product number isn't an exact science. A good guide at prediction but by no means a 100% accurate one!

I maintain that the intent was to release those Legends the way they were grouped as well, but something changed along the way.

Just see where the assortment number for the Legends (and Leaders, and Voyagers, and Deluxes) falls, and compare that to the Titan Master assortment.

B4697 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters assortment
B4698 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 1 Nightbeat
B4699 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 1 Terri-Bull
B4700 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 1 Crashbash
B4701 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 1 Loudmouth

B5610 Generations Titans Return Legends Class wave 1 Stripes
B5611 Generations Combiner Wars Legends Class wave 6 Wreck-Gar
B5612 Generations Titans Return Legends Class wave 1 Rewind
B5613 Generations Titans Return Leader Class wave 1 Blaster

B6459 Generations Titans Return Voyager Class wave 1 Sentinel Prime
B6460 Generations Titans Return Voyager Class wave 1 Galvatron
B6461 Generations Titans Return Leader Class wave 1 Powermaster Optimus Prime

B7022 Generations Titans Return Legends Class wave 2 Ravage
B7023 Generations Titans Return Legends Class wave 2 Rumble
B7024 Generations Titans Return Legends Class wave 1 Wheelie

B7026 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 1 Hyperfire & Blurr
B7027 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 1 Grax & Skullsmasher
B7028 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 1 Furos & Hardhead
B7029 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 1 Fracas & Scourge

B7033 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 2 Xort & Highbrow
B7034 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 2 Autobot Stylor & Chromedome
B7035 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 2 Vorath & Mindwipe
B7036 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 2 Monxo & Wolfwire

B7585 Generations Titans Return Legends Class wave 2 Laserbeak

B7762 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class assortment

B7769 Generations Titans Return Voyager Class assortment

B7771 Generations Titans Return Legends Class assortment

B7997 Generations Titans Return Leader Class assortment

B8352 Generations Titans Return Voyager Class wave 2 Autobot Soverein & Alpha Trion
B8353 Generations Titans Return Voyager Class wave 2 Darkmoon & Astrotrain
B8354 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 2 Skytread
B8355 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 2 Brawn
B8356 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 2 Apeface
B8357 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 2 Clobber
B8358 Generations Titans Return Leader Class wave 2 Soundblaster & Soundwave

C0271 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 3 Firedrive & Autobot Hot Rod
C0272 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 3 Daburu & Autobot Twinferno
C0273 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 3 Blowpipe & Triggerhappy
C0274 Generations Titans Return Deluxe Class wave 3 Autobot Throttle & Autobot Breakaway
C0275 Generations Titans Return Voyager Class wave 3 Doomshot & Megatron
C0276 Generations Titans Return Voyager Class wave 3 Diac & Optimus Prim
C0277 Generations Titans Return Voyager Class wave 4 Blunderbuss & Broadside
C0278 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 3 Overboard
C0279 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 3 Autobot Ptero
C0280 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 3 Sawback
C2081 Generations Titans Return Titan Masters wave 3 Decepticon Fangry
C0282 Generations Titans Return Legends Class wave 3 Gnaw
C0283 Generations Titans Return Legends Class wave 3 Kickback
C0284 Generations Titans Return Legends Class wave 3 Bumblebee

C0286 Generations Titans Return Leader Class wave 3 Decepticon Revolver & Six Shot

Basically, the assortment numbers for most of the Titans Return assortments are higher than the individual product code numbers for the corresponding wave 1 (or even wave 2) figures. My theory is that Hasbro initially intended to simply continue the Combiner Wars assortments the same way they did with the Fall of Cybertron assortments being continued under the Thrilling 30 branding.

Somewhere along the way, they decided instead to relaunch them as new assortments under the Titans Return branding. You don't see that with lines that get a fresh start, not even with the Titan Masters assortment (which was completely new and didn't have a counterpart in Combiner Wars), whose assortment number is directly followed by the individual product code numbers for the wave 1 figures.

I think the intention was also to release Optimus Primal, Toraizer and Ramhorn in the same wave, but something changed again. Same for The Last Knight's Deluxe wave 3, which was supposed to contain Cogman but now instead features a re-release of Drift.

It's not an exact science insofar as Hasbro's plans can change, but as far as the original intention goes, I'd say it's fairly accurate.

Oh, I didn't realize these were the little dudes that are just the head with a little vehicle. That sucks. I mean I know Toraizer was. But I assumed it would be a full original figure for Primal. Yeah, that would be pretty lame if it's just a re-release of the Optimal Optimus Apeface repaint from the eHobby Convobat. Or they may repaint him black instead like the original gorilla toy. And I guess the vehicle mode could be seen as a vague homage to the pre-BW BotCon toy. But, man. What a pathetic showing on Hasbro's part. To do such an important character as Optimus Primal as just a headmaster without a body. Well, what do you expect. We have a whole line of Headmasters and they even don't bother to do some of the characters that were originally Headmasters.

Considering the vote was for power of the primes, I don't think a titanmaster in the preceding line is the only figure primal will get

No, no. I fully expect a new original figure as part of the Power of the Primes line. Preferably a Leader class scale one. Or at least voyager. I hope we'll see in a couple weeks at SDCC.

I'd really like to get hold of that, but I suspect we could be getting a (partially?) recoloured variant of Titanmaster Ginrai instead (a bit like the separate Clone releases).

That reminds me of of the original (munkey) Optimus Primal more than the Star Convoy and Senitinel Prime/Leo Convoy heads do.

I was just saying the other day that wave 6 titan masters has to have Toraizer in it. They have to finish the trio of japan headmasters. Then i got thinking, they should retool Toraizer into Ravage, just like they did with Shuffler/Ramhorn.

I would bet that Optimus Primal's head will be the same one they use for the voyager Apeface figure with the vehicle that comes with the TM Apeface.

Still waiting/wanting to here about a TM Arcee.

Yeah I'm not sure why people suddenly think a character getting one figure means that's it forever when we're staring at how many different Megatrons, Grimlocks, Soundwaves, Bees, and Seekers.

My money is still on star convoy, the timing fits. It was supposed to be a wave 6 titanmaster, primal is a wave 6 titanmaster, we know the star convoy head at least has a design

Dang...I was happy to avoid OP,but I need to get it now that it's Primal...
I would think Roller with a redecoed eHobby MagnaBat head.

    As for Toraizer...AWESOME.

A Voyager-size Primal would be great although he would probably be just a slightly retooled Apeface but at this point I will take what I can get.

I'm hoping other BW characters receive similar updates as well.
