I just got a Shapeways part that I want to paint.

Just a few questions if anyone has worked with Shapeways parts before.

    1) Is there any special way that I should prep the pieces? When I got the pieces in there was still a bunch of mold "gunk" left on them. I washed them with soap and water and that seemed like it did the trick.

Should I be doing something else prior to painting?

2)I'm thinking I'll need to prime the pieces first. What's a good Primer to use? I'm familiar with Krylon and Tamiya products.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Warm water and an old tooth brush to get more of the production waste off of the mold did wonders for me.
